Insotel Club Tarida Playa

Hotel has large clean rooms however let down by the air con not on they said it doesnt come on till peak season. The temps have hit 32 this week and the rooms making me feel sick. They had no fans left and told me to open the door. The hotel ran out of ice creams for a few days whilst we was here and beer ran out a few times too. All staff was friendly around the pool and in restaurant. Food was nice but could do with more meaty options. Rooms was cleaned everyday and the bar staff was super friendly. Theres nothing much to do outside the hotel but a bus stop is only 10 mins walk away. All in all was a nice holiday

Wow! What can I say! We’ve just come back from a week with our 5-year-old and 4-month-old and have already started looking to book again for next year! We were totally blown away 🩷 Rooms We had room 207. Initially given room 10 but we asked to swap as we didn’t want a ground floor room near the pool with getting baby to sleep. This was quickly sorted ✔️ Room was really good and spacious. We asked at reception for kettle which we kept for the week. There is a safe but you have to pay extra. Our cleaner, Estefania, was incredible! Despite the language barrier she was so lovely and even had a quick game of ball with our son! Restaurant All of the staff were so welcoming. Never had an issue getting a table, food was amazing and so fresh. Entertainment team These guys were the highlight of our stay! Pancho had us in giggles every day and our little boy adored him! The 2 ladies who ran the kids’ club (so sorry I never got their names!) had so much energy and knew all of the kids’ names which made them feel so special. Sara and Linda did a fantastic job and, again, got to know the family. Pool We went during term-time and the pool was so quiet. Never a fight for beds and lots of shade. Beach Literally on the hotel’s doorstep! Either via steps or slope if you have a buggy. We can’t thank the staff enough for a fabulous stay! See you again next year!

Lovely location next to a reasonably quiet bay, just 30mins from Airport. The beach was beautiful with clear sea water, the only downside was the steps down to the beach, my wife has issues with her leg, so it was quite hard work for her. The food was very good, with plenty of choice. The main Hotel is much better than the separate block which is closer to the beach, we managed to move after 3 nights due to the stair climbing involved. The first room was clean but a bit tired, whereas the main hotel room was much more modern. As it was the last week of the season, entertainment was minimal. Shop 3/4 a mile away was handy, there you can also catch buses to San Antonio etc.

This was our first family holiday with our toddler and, overall, we had a wonderful stay! I'll start with the negatives as there aren't many but I think they are important to state first. We stayed in a one bed apartment with a sea view (room 1415). The hotel itself has had a recent refurbishment and the rooms looked lovely, but the apartments are in a separate building and seem to have been missed. The furniture is dated and in need of replacing and there is zero soundproofing so you can hear everything. The sofa bed was missing some of the wood finish which left some exposed tacks that were very sharp. We had to put a blister plaster over them to make sure we didn't get scratched. The fan in the communal area was nearly coming off the ceiling so we had to make sure we didn't switch it on and there is no air con which wasn't an issue when we went, but I can imagine in the height of summer, it would be very uncomfortable. There are a lot of steps which is detailed on the website but we didn't realise quite how many steps there would be. There is a side door that cuts out the steps down to the apartments and up to the first floor but it is staff only so we weren't allowed to use it. It would have made it 10x easier to lug our stuff, including the pram, each day to and from the apartment if we were able to use that door. It could easily have a card reader fitted so that only guests can enter. We booked the apartment because we wanted a separate bedroom so that our toddler could sleep and we could still watch TV or sit on the balcony in the evening without all being in the same room and in hindsight, we should have stayed in the hotel as the rooms have a separate bed space to the communal area anyway. It wasn't clear on the Jet2 or Club Tarida websites so we were disappointed to find this information out a few days into our stay when we got speaking to another couple who also have a toddler. We paid an additional £200 for the apartment and feel it didn't live up to the standard we were expecting. Finally, the hotel is pretty remote and there isn't anything around unless you hire a car. Now on to the positives! The hotel is very family friendly. The communal areas (pool, restaurant, bar) were kept clean and tidy. The restaurant is well equipped with lots of highchairs, plastic cutlery, plates, etc and a kids buffet. The staff, especially the restaurant team, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They were helpful and extremely attentive and seemed to genuinely love children, which was a relief since the hotel was full of them! The atmosphere was very chilled and you didn't feel self conscious if your child was having a meltdown. The food was really tasty. Loads of choice with show cooking and each night had a loose theme. The outside seating are was wonderful with lots of little sparrows flying about much to our toddlers delight! The pool area was nice and had a separate toddler pool by the side of it but both were freezing so we had to wait until later on in the day when the sun had taken the chill off. We didn't struggle to get a sun lounger even though some people had bagsied some of them first thing. The little play park was happily played on by our toddler and they had a mini disco in the evening which we would have attended if she was a bit older. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to a lovely sandy beach so is ideally suited for a sun, sea, sand and relax type holiday. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely come back but this time we will be staying in the hotel instead of the apartment block.

Everything about this place was spot on. The room, 318, the cleaning, the food, the service. It was all quite simply a great 2 week stay. Just a note to the little bald Scottish chap who had a cigarette off me promising to give me one back yet walked past me several times. Bet you know that sort of person. Karma will have you Jock!!! Still that didn't tarnish my stay at this Brilliant hotel. Thank you.
