Barefoot Hotel Mallorca

My husband and I enjoyed a 2 night stay in this lovely hotel in June. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the hotel has a very relaxed and chilled out vide. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated and had a super comfy bed. We used the outdoor pool and checked out the Spa but did not use it. Maybe next time! The breakfast exceeded our expectations and we were very happy with the choice and quality of the food on offer. We ate at the hotel on one occasion and chose the Sole which was very tasty. Another evening we ate in a nearby restaurant which was lovely too. The area is very beautiful and not too busy. We chose to stay at the Barefoot for a short break as it is near to some very nice beaches and somewhere that is great for walks when a little cooler. We plan to return in a cooler season!

It was not really as advertised. We were led to believe this would be a tranquil retreat; in fact it was more geared up to 20/30 year olds staying for a few nights, not using it as a destination. Having said that, all staff were professional. Food was good.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It's very beautiful and the staff are really lovely - so warm and welcoming with particular credit to Yael, Tatiana and Christian, and of course the manager Dominic. The breakfast was lovely, plentiful and relaxed, even when the hotel was busy. The room was lovely and very stylish. Very comfortable bed and extras pillows provided on request. The pool is a decent size for a swim, there are plenty of loungers (at least there are in June) and each day after breakfast is cleared these magic buzzers are delivered round the poolside by the staff, so you don't even need to shift yourself to summon a cocktail. Now that's a relaxing holiday! There are a good few restaurants a few minutes walk away (our recommendation would be Sa Llotja) , but Portocolom is quite a small town with no bar scene and few shops. If you are staying for a week or more, I'd recommend hiring a car for at least part of the week so you can venture further afield if you fancy a change of scene All in all a lovely week and many thanks to the Barefoot team

Food was excellent, bathrooms were a highlight

Great hotel, clean, comfortable, helpful friendly staff. Food excellent, breakfast buffet, poolside lunch and restaurant dinner. The room was spacious and we opted for one with a terrace and hot tub which was lovely to relax in post lunch. Not the cheapest hotel but you get what you pay for, we’re going back next year!!
