Blau Punta Reina

Just back from 5 nights all inclusive at the Blau Punta Reina resort with the family and it was great. Rooms: We stayed in a junior suite on the ground floor and the rooms were clean & tidy, equipped with microwave and small fridge. As we had booked with a baby they also had a travel cot set up in the room. Food: There is a selection of restaurants, there is an Italian (which is lovely), the general all inclusive restaurant and then another one which you need to book for but we didn't bother with this, this time. In the general restaurant, there was always Pizza, chips, pasta and lasagne available along with salad. There appeared to be themed nights with different meats being cooked each night. There was a large variety and I suspect most would be able to find something to not go hungry! They even have a child's buffet section where they can choose their own food. Desserts there was always plenty of fruit, ice cream & cakes on offer. Breakfast there was a choice of the usual fried breakfast options, yogurt, fruit, pastries etc. There is a snack bar open 10:30 - 18:30 which had fruit, cold meats, ice creams, cheeses and bread on offer all day, then from 12:30 - 16:00 (i think) they had hamburgers, chips, chicken dippers and Lasagne available. We had lunch here most days Drinks: You may have read about the token system, this works well to keep the place clean but does sometimes cause token anxiety haha. Basically on arrival you put down a 1 euro deposit per chip. During the day at the poolside bars etc you hand over your chip in exchange for a plastic cup to use for your drinks. When you no longer want anymore drinks you can either keep hold of your cup or give it back and get your chip back ready for next time. In the evening at the entertainment the drinks came in glasses (or you could opt for plastic for kids if you prefer). They had San-Miguel available on tap all day with the usual selection of soft drinks & cocktails Entertainment & Staff: I would say this was the best hotel / resort we have been to in Mallorca for entertainment. The setting was lovely and the entertainment catered for all with the staff translating into to 3 or 4 languages!! There was always a kids disco prior to the "main event". Each evening, outside the main restaurant they had different characters to meet you for pictures which included star wars, transformers, barbie, superman & superwomen! Pools; There are 4 pool areas, one of which appeared to be adult only(although no signs) but definitely had a quiet vibe. There is a kids pool area which opens at 10am. This has two pool areas with slides suitable for ages 1 - 5ish, a splash park and three larger tube slides (1.2m min height for these). The other two pools are great also with activities on-going throughout the day Beach: the walk down to the beach was a bit challenging. I believe there is a shuttle service available but we decided to walk down the route from the resort which involves lots of steps and some uneven surfaces, definitely not suitable for a pushchair but it only takes about 10minutes to walk this route, just be cautious. Summary: I have probably missed something but everyone we encountered were friendly and more than helpful. A good selection of food & drink, good entertainment and pools. No complaints and we would head back to this resort. We wnt on a package with JET2 and again, this was very smooth & easy.

A good location with plenty of space. A good atmosphere and the entertainment was enjoyable. Children loved the discos and shows. Rooms were very pleasant and clean. Beaches accessible and buses to Porto Cristo on hand. We travelled with Jet2 and felt they offered good service and good value for money. June seemed a good time to go as it was hot but not too hot.

A very nice hotel with great service. We definitely are going to visit it again. A big recommendation is Jerry at the bar. He has great suggestions and is always nice to talk to.
