My husband and i stayed at the Ardormare Suites after reading the reviews on here. I will start with the positives to provide a balanced and honest review. The rooms were spacious, luxurious and we found ours to be perfectly clean so in that respect we were happy. The only helpful person in the entire place was the security guard who was very helpful and supportive of my husband. He deserves a pay rise. Unfortunately this is the only positive aspect. RECEPTION STAFF On arrival at the suites we asked if we could have some water for the room. The night staff gave us two bottles of water begrudgingly. This wasn't enough so my husband went back downstairs to get some more. He was told we already got some and had to pay for an extra 4 bottles which was a disgrace as we were all inclusive. The attitude of the staff left a lot to be desired especially when asking for information. The young man with the curly hair on reception literally couldn't care less and had a terrible attitude towards guests. We weren't given information about meal times etc and didn't even know what button to press in the lift to get up and down. FOOD The food was repetitive and cold every day. The breakfast was a disgrace. I stopped getting up for breakfast and would have a snack in the room purchased from the local supermarket. Not all the dishes were labelled so you didn't always know what you were eating and if something was served at dinner the previous evening, it was re-purposed for lunch or vice/versa. I loved the cats that visit the hotel but on one occasion we did notice one jumping on the snack bar outside as the food was left unattended. WARNING On the 23rd September my husband and i went down to the restaurant to get some dinner. We didn't realise we were one hour early yet all the dishes were laid out.. we were told to come back. This meant everything was cold when we went back. I lived on salad. We went to the bar to get some drinks before dinner. Later that evening i was in the apartment when I began to get bad stomach pains, sickness and diahorrea and 2 days later blood coming from places it shouldn't I was so weak my husband went to the on site doctor that afternoon and she kept saying she didn't understand him and did we have insurance. I ended up having food poisoning which resulted in me having to go to A&E in Alanya. I was treated then discharged the same night. on retuning to the hotel we were waiting for the lift when a member of the restaurant staff was in the lift with two guests giggling and laughing, one of them lying down on a black trolley being pulled by the staff. I had a fever and was nauseous and had to gesture to them to get out so I could get in the lift to get to my bed. Staff just laughed and got out with the female guest, The next day my health declined and was bedridden for the remaining 5 days of my holiday. My husband was continually challenged when asking for water from the bar. He said "my wife has food poisoning" to which the bar man said "ha ha you say this yesterday and day before". The day before checkout my husband asked the manager if we could have a late check out as i was in no fit state to go anywhere but bed. We were told to ask in the morning. My husband had to go back the next morning at 9.30am where they told him we could have a late check out but this would cost 50 Euros. My husband worked this out and realised it would be cheaper to pay in Turkish Lira. When he challenged the manager about this, and the fact i had contracted food poisoning and how little help or support he received from the staff, the manager threw 20 Euros back at him. My husband also tried to get a wheelchair to get me down from the room as I was severely dehydrated and was unable to walk without passing out. Eventually he was given one , this was after being told he would have to leave his passport as a guarantee and he was asked to pay a deposit, although in the end, they gave him the only wheelchair they had in the full hotel again begrudgingly. I returned home to Scotland on Saturday 28th September and was admitted to hospital that evening with gastroenteritis, colitis, dehydration, low potassium and i was visited by a surgeon at 4am as they suspected my colon had ruptured. I spent two full nights in hospital receiving intravenous fluids and tests, and as I write this review, I am still off work as I have been having ongoing digestion problems and headaches. Doctors believe this was caused by either the salad or the ice that was in my drink. (Ice is made with local water which is incredibly dangerous and salad is washed in it too. My husband ate the meat and fish dishes and chips and was fine surprisingly. This has been an extremely traumatic experience. It is one thing to be ill, but being ill in a foreign country where you cant speak the language and the staff couldn't care less about you is another. Up until that point I would have gladly returned to the Ardrormare Suites and self catered, but I agree with the other negative reviews and wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Either self cater or avoid is my advice. I have been to Turkey 7 times and this is hands down the worst place I have visited.

I stayed here from 26th Sept - 4th Oct - upon arriving staff were very friendly and informed us the best they could despite language barriers - room was immaculate and very spacious for 5 people, only thing i would change is needing cutlery and dishes in the room to use upon arrival - food was great and a good selection to choose from each day including an outside selection for when the restaurant wasn’t open - staff gave great recommendations for trips and places to go plus helped provide transport when needed - the pool was very clean and big with the great addition of water slides - would like to thank burak and yasmin especially for making us feel welcome and helping out in any way they could!

My stay at this hotel was a bittersweet experience. I'll start with the positive side, as it will be a bit shorter. The staff – bartenders, receptionists, and restaurant team – were extremely kind and helpful. The food was also a highlight, though the breakfasts left something to be desired, as they were the same every day. The rooms were kept clean, with the housekeeping staff coming daily, despite a few small imperfections. Thanks to the manager, Burak, I felt like I was 17 again – which, in this case, was ironically fitting. Now for the bitter part of my experience, where Mr. Burak takes center stage. His attitude towards the staff and his "management" of the bar was far from ideal. Drinks in proper glasses were only available during meal times. After that, we were stuck drinking from flimsy paper cups that seemed to fall apart just by looking at them. I understand the rule by the pool due to safety concerns (by the way, the pool closes at 7 PM), but it would’ve been nice to enjoy a beer in a glass while sitting at the tables just outside the restaurant. Interestingly, if you're a woman, or better yet, a young girl, Mr. Manager is more than happy to chat and offer a drink in a glass – even by the pool. As for me, I had to hide with my glass like a teenager sneaking beer from the police, and that's definitely not the kind of vibe one looks for on vacation. Many of the positive reviews about Mr. Burak likely come from the fact that towards the end of your stay, he'll chat with you for a moment and, in a "grand gesture," offer you a drink in a glass. The real issue, though, is that people don't realize he's the source of the problem, not the solution. I certainly don't blame the bartenders – in fact, I admire them for putting up with such a difficult boss. I also recommend tipping them directly, as the manager tends to help himself to the tip glass for his own benefit.
