Coral Estate Luxury Resort

I was very pleasantly surprised by this property and its amenities. First - the water. It is amazingly clear/ blue. Like a swimming pool. The roped area is mostly sand bottom but just beyond the rope is surprisingly good snorkeling with a wide array of tropical fish among the coral formations. We found this area one of the best in that area for snorkeling. Check in was easy - especially since we had to prepay the entire stay - so we got keys and a staff member walked us to our room #640. It was nicely appointed with a small kitchenette area with microwave, decent sized bathroom with open shower (nice) and a HUGE balcony area with seating for 4 that overlooked the water, the pool and the restaurants. Great place to sit and listen to the live music. Restaurants were good and not very expensive for a resort - with a nice selection of fresh seafood items as well as steaks, etc. Curated cocktails were delicious (I recommend the Homemade Gin and Tonic). Only take away was the service in Koral restaurant was really lacking. Like really bad. Service in the seaside Karakter restaurant was good. Great views! Pool area is fine - get there early for a good view. Pool is small but nice with an infinity section that looks out at the ocean. Parking is a bit weird in that it is all in the front of the complex and you can only access it through the front entry area. Coffee shop/Cafe is good - with a decent assortment of drinks as well as pastries. I highly recommend the Dragon Fruit cheesecake. Epic! Overall this place was great. We would definitely return.

Even though it's a resort, you can visit for free. Just show some ID at the main entrance and you can park your car at the hotel. Once inside you can enjoy a delicious apple pie and relax in one of their chairs and loungers with no extra cost. All you have to do is consume something in one of tbe restaurants. My recomendation is the apple pie. You can also enjoy the pool.

Please NOTE: what you see on the website may not be what you get: We booked a week stay at this resort. We paid to stay in the VIP section. Their website show images of beautiful ocean views. However, to our great disappointment, our view from our patio room was not even close to what was pictured. The rooms either have balcony or patio views, but unfortunately only the views from the balcony are shown for the VIP area. If you make your booking based on their images, you will be highly disappointed. You are not allowed to select balcony or terrace when booking. We contacted the resort to ask why no pictures of the view from the patio is shown. We have not received an answer. Their response was that we should have called ahead to express our preference for a balcony view...that being said we certainly would have called to request the balcony view if the patio would have been shown on the website for the VIP area. WE made the assumption that the images were inclusive of all the rooms, whether balcony or terrace because no other images were shown. Additionally, for the other rooms on the property outside of the VIP section, the price of the room is based on the location. However, for this VIP section there was no price difference between the balcony rooms and patio rooms. Additionally, we were told that even if you request an ocean view room you are not guaranteed one upon arrival since they don't exist on the patio level as shown below in the photo taken from our patio. Usually, we stay in the hotel room. But we decided to rent one of the villas. When we got there, it seemed like everything was gonna be amazing. But then we saw the villa… next to a complete construction zone They did not inform us at all that they were going to be construction next door for our entire stay. And let me tell you from 7 AM till 5 PM. There was major construction. Now I don’t blame them in working they were actually quite nice But the resort should’ve definitely let us know that the construction is going on we would’ve chose a different villa or stayed on the resort grounds So I highly recommend asking a bunch of questions

We experienced a deeply disappointing honeymoon at Coral Estate due to significant communication failures and a disregard for guest comfort. The arrival experience began with a tedious check-in process that could have been streamlined remotely. A major disruption occurred daily: we were awakened at 8:00 a.m. by intrusive construction noise, specifically drills and jackhammers, from the adjacent room. This noise continued until 5:00 p.m., vibrating the walls and preventing necessary rest. Our multiple complaints were met with an "unavailable" management team that failed to follow up. Service lapses were also apparent. Housekeeping missed a scheduled visit, and a request for fresh towels was denied until the following morning. The resort only offered a resolution—a room change, a dinner, and a 20% discount—on our final day, and only after we initiated a credit card dispute. A month and a half later, the promised discount remains unfulfilled.  While one staff member, Gwen, provided kind assistance, the overall management failure to disclose the construction in advance or resolve the issue promptly ruined an unrepeatable experience. We cannot recommend this resort. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere!
