Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino

We recently stayed at this resort in Curaçao as a group of four, and overall, we had a pleasant experience—though unfortunately, it ended on a very difficult note. To start with the positives, the staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the entertainment—especially the fireworks on our first night, which was a lovely touch and a great way to kick off our vacation. One feature I truly appreciated was the complimentary room service for meals. It made our stay feel very relaxed and convenient. While there wwas an instance where order was missed, the overall experience was still enjoyable. I also want to highlight how accommodating the team was in arranging an early in-room breakfast for us before one of our day trips, as well as providing takeaway sandwiches for lunch—these thoughtful gestures did not go unnoticed. However, our experience took a serious turn on the last day of our stay. Two of us fell ill with vomiting and diarrhea, and a third person developed symptoms shortly after returning home. This unfortunately made our journey back extremely challenging as we were not able to get any meds as pharmacies were closed. To the resort’s credit, the response from the staff during this situation was prompt and supportive. An incident report was filed, the manager personally visited us to gather detailed information about our meals from the previous day, and a doctor was arranged for us ( who gave us an injection and a prescription). I am grateful for the care and attention we received during this time, especially given that it was a public holiday and pharmacies were closed, making it difficult to access medication. That said, this incident had a significant impact on what was otherwise a very enjoyable trip. Falling ill at the end of a vacation—and dealing with symptoms while traveling—is something no guest should have to experience. If not for this situation, I would have happily rated this stay a 8.5/10. Given the circumstances, we hope the management will take this feedback seriously, review food safety practices, and consider appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused.

Not up to the normal dreams standards. Very old hotel that badly needs remodeled. Staff was overall pretty nice but food and amenities were lacking.

Went on a solo trip for 4 days. Below are some of the things that come to mind about my experience. Hotel pros restaurant food was good Ice cream at cafe was good Plenty of snack options(not free) Schedule of events daily Most ppl friendly and helpful Grounds kept clean Cons Had to Pay for beach chair at other side and no notices about that prior Only 2 restaurants open at a time so longer wait times and the steakhouse was closed my last 2 nights so i couldnt experience that Doesn't feel any diff than a 3.5-4 star resort-i wasnt wowed Old and stained room Vents in room need cleaning-dusty Ppl saving beach/pool chairs with towels and gone for over an hour Outside Space is too small for all the guests they hold Gym cardio machines most were broken Liquor is all local no option for top shelf Bedsheets weren't changed just bed made up-still had my makeup on the pillow
