More of a family resort than couples. We did have the Preferred package which gave us access to adult only pool but it lacked service in a big way. Preferred package gave us the most incredible butler named Oliver! He took care of so much for us and helped make our stay enjoyable. Will definitely be back but with family next time

This is a very honest review of Dreams Flora Resort. I’ve been to several all inclusive resorts in Mexico. This was my first time visiting the Dominican Republic. Upon arrival, the hotel and lobby are beautiful and very impressive. The grounds are beautiful and kept immaculate. Our check-in process was very easy and took about 20 minutes. We booked preferred club and this was definitely necessary! I spoke to other hotel guests who did not book preferred and their check in process was about 2-3 hours. Room: we booked the preferred family suite which included two separate rooms. This extra room was perfect for our two boys (ages 7 and 10) and gave us so much more space. I would highly recommend this room. The room was clean and comfortable. It was not as luxurious as other resorts but it was more important to us to have extra space. The cleaning service did an amazing job and cleaned our room every morning. I never had to ask for cleaning service. Butler: if you book preferred club, you will be assigned to a butler. Our butler, Arjenis, was so helpful! He checked in with us daily and provided us with the activity schedule. He also made special accommodations for us to be able to eat at the adults only French restaurant (we ate right outside the restaurant in the buffet area but ordered from the French restaurant menu). He was awesome and made sure we had everything that we needed all week! Pools and waterpark: the pools were always kept clean. Our family preferred the preferred pool as it was less crowded with a nicer crowd. There were no young kids partying there! This pool was also less noisy. The bartenders at the preferred pool were all awesome and so friendly! Huge shout out to Rauly, Jese, Fernando, and Anyelo for their amazing service! The pool activities were fun. The main pool (non-preferred) had more activities going on, but we would just walk over if we wanted to participate. There were always chairs available at the preferred club pool, but more challenging at the main pool. With that said, the resort was not at full capacity during our stay. There were always pool towels available. The waterpark was the highlight of the trip for my two boys. The slides were so much fun! My husband and I also really had a blast on the waterslides! There is a smaller splash pad area that the kids also enjoyed. Of note, your child must be at least 120 cm to go on most of the waterslides. My 7 yr old was a little under the height requirement for the fastest waterslide but the lifeguard allowed him on it. Kids Club: where do I begin? This was the absolute worst part of this resort. We’ve stayed at several other resorts in Mexico that had amazing kids clubs. My kids basically refused to go to this one. It is mostly all outdoors and looks like a big sandbox inside. The kids club area has a real problem with mosquitoes and the hotel needs to address this. I walked over to talk to the kids club staff during the day about their hours and was swarmed by mosquitoes. I spoke to another mom who actually went into the kids club for about an hour and she was covered in bug bites all over her legs. This kids club was geared toward younger kids and definitely was not appealing for kids ages 7 and 10. They did have a small video game room, but in my opinion this kids club needs a major revamp. Also, most resorts have evening kids club hours that start around 6 or 6:30 PM in order for the parents to go to some dinners without the kids. We usually only did this about two nights during our entire week long stay but this kids club did not have evening hours to accommodate parents going out to dinner. They typically do not open and open until after 8 PM and then would close around 9 or 9:30 PM. This was not convenient and the reason we had to have our butler make special accommodations for us to eat at the adults only French restaurant. Most of the kids club activities were very babyish, and they need to have more fun things for older kids to do there. Restaurants: the restaurants were hit or miss. In my honest opinion, the buffet was absolutely terrible. We went there one morning for breakfast, and the waffles were so hard that I could not even cut them for my son to eat. Since we were preferred club, we had the wonderful option of eating at the Seaside Grill. This was a much better food experience than the buffet. I would highly recommend the Seaside Grill for breakfast and lunch if you book preferred. We had a pretty good experience at most of the à la carte restaurants. You have to keep in mind that the food at all inclusive resorts is not usually going to be top notch. Our favorite restaurant was the sit down Asian restaurant. We had the best dinner there and actually ended up eating there twice because we loved it so much. It was actually better than the hibachi. The French restaurant was good overall. The beef tenderloin dinner was great! The appetizers there were just okay. The Italian restaurant was decent. The shrimp risotto was the best thing on the menu. My husband got the chicken parm and it was just okay. Dinner at the Seaside Grill was pretty good, depending on what you ordered. The Mexican restaurant had awesome chips and churros, and our dinner was just okay. The drinks at the preferred bar were the best. If you want premium alcohol selection, this will only be an option at preferred club bars and you have to ask for it. Staff and service: I would rate the staff high! They were always so nice and accommodating. We had a wonderful experience with the staff! Shows: there was one stand out show called the Burlesque Aerial show. It was amazing! Other than that, the shows were boring for my kids. The magic show was pretty good for the kids. The Rock show was pretty good for the adults. But most other shows were typical for a resort. Beach: the beach is beautiful but unfortunately the time of year we visited was during the start of seaweed season. Not at all the fault of the resort, and they did a great job cleaning it up daily. I feel that we missed out on the beach during to the time of year we visited. Overall, we had a great time! I would consider returning, but our family really enjoys trying out new resorts and places. We had a fun week as a family and were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Our experience at Dreams Flora Resort Was amazing. The staff was very professional, spoke English well, had good entertainment, and lots of food all throughout the day and unlimited Rum Punch all day. This is a must try facility, very clean and affordable. Great for a couples trip or family outing.
