Nice relaxing pool compared to the main pool. There’s a water slide aswell as being served drinks by the pool

My fiancé and I went for 5 days. Upon arriving the amstar staff and check in went smoothly. We were iffy with the baggage check as there was seemingly no security and our luggage was placed in an accessible hall way until our room was ready. Once we got our room if was very hot as the AC did not work. We set the thermostat down to 68 and it remained at 82+ our entire trip despite bringing it to the attention of the staff. We were excited for the slides at the pool however they were closed the entirety of our trip to be repainted and worked on. No staff had much information on if they’d be open at all. The bars were okay depending on what you want, all the frozen drinks were very watery and melted and the alcohol selection is very limited. The food was not desirable at all, and they often ran out of things in little to no time. We had to wait or go find staff in the buffet almost every time for silverware and a drink, most times finishing a meal without water. There are special restaurants for dinner however only one requires a reservation which you make a hour prior to them opening and there is often a line to stand in to make reservations, nothing can be done electronically. The entertainment was alright, nothing special. Language barriers made communication very difficult as well. If you’re looking for a quick workout throughout the trip the gym has very limited equipment with not even a treadmill. The vendors on the beach were unpleasant however we were warned by staff upon check in to ignore them as it is a public beach. I’d be weary of booking this hotel however we were able to make the most of our time here, though will not be returning.

Our trip to Puta Cana was very enjoyable. The beaches and the scenery and the people were all so nice. Martin at the cocoa cafe made us a special caramel moka frozen. It was my favorite drink so good.I miss it so much. Also, Emily at the Cocoa cafe was wonderful. She was very pleasant, and I looked forward to seeing her in martin at the cocoa cafe. Janelle, what was wonderful? She was our first person to talk to in the.Resort, and she was always so helpful and kind. At the Kaleidoscope, me and my grandson loved getting pasta every night made special by a gentleman that I can't remember his name.But I always love seeing the smile on his face when we came to order our pasta. Raquel, Wilden and Recardo always had us well taken care of bringing us coke and other drinks I miss you all!! Thank you, and for all the beautiful memories you will not be forgotten.
