Viva Miches by Wyndham

Our stay at Viva Miches by Wyndham was absolutely wonderful. This is a beautiful new resort with spacious, modern rooms and large balconies that make it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food exceeded our expectations. The buffet had a great variety and everything was fresh and delicious, and the à la carte restaurants were excellent as well. A special shout-out to Darileiny and Seberino at Guest Services, and to Angel at the buffet and Angel at the à la carte restaurant — all of them provided exceptional service and made our stay even more enjoyable. The beach is fantastic: warm water, no undertow, and perfect for long, peaceful walks along the shore. One thing we really appreciated was the relaxed atmosphere — there were no pushy salespeople interrupting your time on the beach. The pool area is beautiful and well designed, with plenty of space to relax, and the drinks were consistently great. The entertainment team also did a fantastic job, offering fun shows and activities throughout the stay. The staff across the resort were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They also did a great job accommodating my friend who is lactose and carbohydrate intolerant, which we really appreciated. The resort itself is thoughtfully laid out and easy to navigate. The bus ride from Punta Cana International Airport is about an hour and a half, and it’s actually a beautiful scenic drive that gives you a glimpse of the countryside. Overall, this resort offers a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, excellent food, and outstanding staff. We would definitely return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff are outstanding especially the girls in Latino Fusion - tell them "Memo" sez Hola...always smiling and so friendly - made you feel like family Roberto Garcia - what an amazing representative of the Viva experience - he went above and beyond to provide an out of this world experience. Tell him Bill & Jane say Hola Guest services - the two girls on LH side - not sure I got their names right - stood on their heads to provide a solution to any of our questions and queries KUDOS to Wyndham for their eco friendly initiatives E.G. providing clean drinking water stations throughout the resort as part of their SAVE the oceans initiative instead of bottled water. Rooms were clean...only beef- in room Wi-Fi sucked Finally - we were fortunate to be on site for the Dominican Republic Independence Day festivities & Carnaval - what a GRAND experience

I had so much fun during my trip to viva miches! It was my very first time being in the Dominican Republic and it was a blast. The entertainment staff, specifically Matias, were so kind and did a great job getting everyone up and moving! Will definitely be coming back!

Just came back from a wonderful two-week vacation at the Viva Miches! This was a new part of the DR for us since we usually go to Punta Cana. The drive from the airport is long - 90 minutes - but it gave us a chance to ''visit'' a bit of the island on the ride there and back. Miches is more north, in the mountainous part of the island. RESORT - Brand new, not even two years old, very clean, modern and the grounds are so, so nice! Everything is well maintained. It's a smaller resort so everything is close and easily accessible. Lots of activities, on the beach and at the pool and good shows every night. There something for everybody. Just me mindful of the sales pitch to become a member of the ''Viva VIP Club''! BEACH - Although it is not like the beaches of Cuba, with its crystal clear blue water, it's very nice, clean, no rocks and no weeds and good for walking (flat). There are no little huts so one must go early to reserve chairs under palm trees or to reserve chairs period. They go fast! We heard that there were jelly fish in the water and that a few people got stung. Since the water wasn't clear (lots of under current movement), we couldn't see them. We didn't have any issues but again, worth mentioning. We did see some washed up on the beach but not many. It is the ocean, after all... It's just surprising that the resort didn't advise us, especially those with children. FOOD - One word to describe that part - AMAZING!!! Buffet, à la carte restaurants - all of it. Lots of choices and everything was delicious! SERVICE - That's one of the areas that would need to be improved a bit. The staff is nice enough but service can sometimes be a bit slow. Maybe because everybody is still new at it, being such a new resort? No big deal but worth mentioning. In terms of weather, we found that being more north and in the mountains, the weather seemed to be more unstable. There was a bit of rain almost every morning and in the evenings, sometimes it was coming down pretty hard, but it didn't last and then the sun came out and it was beautiful and hot! Something to keep in mind. Overall, it was a great vacation and we would recommend the resort without hesitation, keeping in mind that it's a hike from the airport and something to consider, especially if going for only 7 days.

A brand new hotel, amazing beach but annoying staff trying to enroll you in their private membership! Sadly the water was a bit cloudy with minimal visibility! No sargassum but jellyfish ! Restaurant including buffet was 5* The gym also deserves a 5* The drinks at the various bar varies in the quality! Very nice nautical equipment but for some ackward reason you allow only a few equipment to be out at the same time ! As stated by others, it is almost 2 hours bus ride from punta Cana ! Lastly for unknown reasons the staff at the towel station were trying to fool us saying they had none left while they have plenty left ! If you are totally fluent in Spanish you will likely receive better service since a lot of employees don’t speak English or French!
