Where do I start? I am currently on my third day at this resort with my husband, my best friend, and her boyfriend. The resort itself is beautiful, very clean, and clearly brand new. The beach is stunning, and the property has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the service has been extremely disappointing. The majority of the staff we have encountered have been unfriendly and, at times, outright rude. On multiple occasions, we have been waved away or told to wait while trying to order drinks, despite several staff members standing behind the bar with little to do. Service is consistently slow, and when drinks are finally served, there is rarely any greeting, smile, or sense of hospitality. Instead, it often feels as though guests are inconveniencing the staff simply by placing an order. Having worked in customer service and hospitality myself, I understand that these jobs can be demanding. However, providing basic courtesy and professionalism is part of the guest experience, especially at a resort where people are spending their hard-earned money to enjoy a vacation. Another major disappointment has been the drinks. The alcohol appears to be heavily watered down and is virtually undetectable in most cocktails, which has been frustrating throughout our stay. While the beach and grounds are beautiful, the poor service and disappointing beverage quality have significantly impacted our overall experience. Based on our stay so far, we would not choose to return. If you’re looking for a beautiful beach and a modern property and don’t place much importance on service, this resort may still be a good fit. However, if friendly hospitality and quality drinks are important parts of your vacation experience, you may want to consider other options. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as I am clearly not the first guest to mention concerns about staff friendliness and customer service.

It was a nice stay generally. Rooms and hotel spotless, good service. Lots of food at the buffet, lots of variety and it was very good. We did 3 restaurants, Italian and Dominican were excellent. The Japanese - stir fry cooked in front of you, also very good but more for the show. We also tried the resto at the beach. That was also good. The hotel was very noisy.- at the beach, at the pool, and the rooms walls are paper thin I kid you not. The beach was very beautiful and walkable. The staff was hit and miss - the guy at the beach by the pool close to the outside resto bar was really not friendly. The guys trying to sell you memberships were extremely annoying - chasing you down everywhere ( I found a way to get around them) just to make a sale. When you are on vacation - you want peace. These guys were relentless. You are hoping for peace - these guys were relentless. The gym is amazing but there is no ac- I almost passed out on day 3 (it’s at the top of a building with huge windows). Most of the guests were South Americans - very small number of Canadians. I got by because I speak both Italian and Spanish. It was not so easy for my husband, the language did make things difficult but I did find the staff trying to help when they could. There are cats there they seemed well fed. There is also the odd beach dogs they also seemed well fed and friendly. The boat tour for 40 us was well worth it and fun. I would rate it 3.8 to 4.
