Sowell Family La Lauzière

The location is excellent, and the food is amazing. The staff members are kind, friendly, and helpful. The room is clean and cozy, with towels provided. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the food to the shuttle bus and ski rental. I wholeheartedly recommend it and will certainly return.

Friendly, relaxed, comfortable but basic hotel. Good location for skiing in La plagne and (for the more intrepid) les Arcs. Food is varied and plentiful - not haute cuisine, but healthy and homely. Drinks are on tap - we liked the vin chaud! Staff are very helpful. Other guests were chatty and happy. We loved the ski hire on site.

Good hotel all around and good food. Need drying room for boots Rooms need to have open plan areas to hang wet ski kit and more shelving for gloves helmet etc In place of the two small wardrobes

Stayed for a week ski holiday from 10 Jan. Hotel overall was clean and well maintained although the corridors had dreary green painted walls. Reception staff were welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast and dinner buffets were of a high quality. Being able to take lunch from the breakfast buffet was a nice bonus with bags and containers made available for the purpose. Restaurant staff were very helpful and worked very hard to keep tables clear and cleaned and the buffet food constantly topped up. No mean feat when the dining room at dinner was often very full from 7pm to around 8.30 pm. Never seen better - well done! All inclusive hot drinks were welcome, as were the 4 pm snacks although we only got to have them once during our stay. The AI beer and wine was a nice touch, although my husband and I only had a few, we are not big drinkers these days. The room was warm and comfortable and quiet, which was a surprise considering how many families with young babies during our week long stay (this is definitely a hotel attracting families). 3 negative points about our room (but not deal breakers), 1) Poor lighting except in the bathroom 2) Hairdryer had a very short flex making use difficult 3) Only mirror is in shower room. Ski in and out worked ok for us but not pisted so a bit daunting first thing when in the shade and hard packed, but there is a bus from front of hotel to gondola as the alternative, but not frequent enough in my opinion. All in all very good value and would recommend if you don't mind being 10 minute uphill walk from the village

Wonderful hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic. My first ever all inclusive and it worked wonderfully, being able to either return for lunch or make up a packed lunch as well as hot drinks and snacks at 4pm was delightful. I am not a big drinker but the odd beer of an evening was nice. Plenty of other alcoholic options to suit all tastes. Room was comfortable and quiet with lovely bathroom. Ski in and out was good for us as we are experienced skiers ( the run outside hotel is unpisted) if snow wasn't as good or if you're a beginner it may not suit but the ski bus stops at the hotel. Overall a wonderful place to have a ski holiday or a summer holiday I would imagine.
