SOWELL HOTELS Mont Blanc & Spa

We've spent a wonderful week skiing in the region. The hotel is perfectly located at 5 min walk from the cabin lift and with indoor and outdoor parking which makes it perfect fit for people traveling by car. The food was good and the atmosphere even better thanks to the hotel crew which was always willing to help and assist with information and another drink from the bar ;) You can spend the time after dinner for some games or music (If you are lucky and Gipsy Kings are also there :P ) at the lobby. The swimming pool this season was closed, so definitely it would be even better if it was working, but didn't changed our mood at all.

Private transfer both ways (not sure why?) We arrived in snowy conditions and everything looked beautiful. The rooms were large, warm and comfortable. Shower separate from toilet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the broken safe in our room was not fixed after 2 requests. Food was plentiful and good quality and being all inclusive supplied bags and trays at breakfast time to take out food and drink for lunch (take a flask for drink) The lay out of the hotel was somewhat confusing as the reception and dining room was on the 6th floor. Our room was on 1st floor and had to use two separate lifts to get there. Soon got used to it. There is no shuttle bus so a walk to the lifts which in some condition could be dangerous. Particularly in ski boots. Ski store room but no heated boot storage. Did not use the Spa or pool as was chargeable.

Great hotel in a good location. Breakfast was good hot and cold food available. We were allowed to take out a pack lunch, filled french stick we chose, bags available for taking out. There were also boxes available for salad options. Dinner was good but not a massive choice of hot dishes, always a fish option, plenty of other food available if nothing suited. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the cable car and lockers where we available to hire and leave our skiis which saved us carrying. It was a great experience

The hotel is in an excellent location. All of the staff are extremely friendly & helpful. A spacious room, separate sleeping area for 3rd bed. Excellent choices in the dining room, paper bags & containers provided to make up packed lunches. Delicious desserts in the evening! Snacks available on the bar when returning from a day on the slopes.

A nice hotel which really helps enjoy and relax your holiday. The staff are great and helpful. The location is uphill a short hill but close to everything (within 15mins from town and transport). Food was good (always 3/4 hot dishes, salads and desserts). Nice touch to be able to take away lunch with takeaway boxes provided. The place, in parts is dates, mainly through wear and tear. Hence marking down for cleanliness but the housekeeping team did well. Overall would be back.
