Timhotel Paris Gare du Nord

I had a wonderful stay at Timhotel and cannot recommend them highly enough! The location is incredibly convenient, situated right by the Gare du Nord station, making it perfect for travelers arriving by train or needing quick access to transportation and local amenities. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Franco, who handled our check-in. He was consistently patient, pleasant, and welcoming throughout our entire stay. The room itself was cozy, but it was impeccably clean and, most importantly, equipped with reliable air conditioning—a true lifesaver during this hot Paris summer. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is their dedication to their guests even after check-out. I accidentally left my Apple AirPods behind, and after I had already left Paris, Franco and the Timhotel team went above and beyond to help me arrange their return. Their effort and communication throughout the process were truly outstanding and deeply appreciated.

Fabulous location if coming in by Eurostar. Super easy to find. They will store bags for you. Rooms fine, clean and maintained. Shower excellent. ‘Air con’ was old and ineffective, it tried but couldn’t keep up with the 37 degrees outside so sleeping was pretty tricky. Nice little balcony from room 334 overlooking the station concourse, great to watch the world go by. Staff helpful. Continental breakfast was great - lovely French bread, cheeses, meats, croissant and pain aux chocolate, yoghurt, cereals, scrambled egg and bacon also on offer!

I stayed at Timhotel Gare du Nord for the weekend. Honestly, I didn’t like this hotel at all, but I didn’t have many other booking options. Yes, the location is convenient since it’s right in front of Gare du Nord, but the area itself is crowded, dirty, and doesn’t feel safe. The lobby is basically non-existent. I don’t even know if you can call it a lobby—two people can barely stand next to each other. Everything feels extremely tight and uncomfortable. The elevator is honestly a joke: it fits 1–2 people максимум, it’s cramped and shaky, and going up and down with luggage becomes a nightmare. Expect to make multiple trips. The room was small but fine—it had what we needed. The only decent point is that the price is relatively affordable. Now the real issue: the staff. I don’t want to be rude, but the level of professionalism is very questionable. Communication in both French and English is poor, and one staff member in particular was extremely unprofessional. Our luggage didn’t arrive with us and was supposed to be delivered to the hotel from the airport. I called reception from my phone while I was out to check if it had arrived. The guy said yes—but then immediately started talking and sharing details without even asking who was on the phone. That’s completely unacceptable. You don’t just give out guest information without verifying identity. It honestly made me feel like my information wasn’t safe at all—like anyone could call and get details. Very disappointing. The breakfast is another joke. Very small, very limited—basically a tray with some cheese, jam, and a few basics. Definitely not worth the money when you can pay the same elsewhere and have a proper, even “gastronomic” breakfast. On top of that, the breakfast area is literally attached to the front desk. The reception, luggage space, “lobby,” and breakfast are all squeezed into what feels like 10 m². It’s just ridiculous. Overall, I was very disappointed and I would definitely not come back.

This was perfect for what I needed as a base for three nights in Paris. As a woman travelling solo I wanted somewhere I could find easily from the Gare Du Nord and without having to navigate lots of side streets. I felt extremely safe there and staff were all welcoming. My room was clean and modern with most plug sockets having USB charging ports, a kettle was included along with coffee/tea/biscuits too and there was free WIFI throughout the hotel. My windows opened into a courtyard - not much of a view but was very quiet and there was a smell of croissant each morning. Body moisturiser was included in the bathroom along with conditioner (but not shampoo) along with a hairdryer.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Literally 67 paces from the front door to the entry of Gare du Nord! Staff were lovely, and the hotel was immaculately clean. Beds were comfy, and the shower was enormous! There is a small lift (with two steps up to it!), so be prepared you may have use it one at a time. If you are a wheelchair user, contact the hotel about access, because I would say you wouldn’t get a wheelchair in there (but I don’t use one so don’t know!). Our triple room had really great beds, with a king size and a large single bed, both of which were very comfortable. The shower was enormous with decent water pressure. Again, immaculately clean with products provided. For a hotel directly opposite an international train station, we slept really well. Of course there was some noise but nothing massively disturbing! Lots of amenities nearby, and I would recommend to anyone to use the metro system. It’s super easy, and you can get on it at Gare du Nord. We had the breakfast which was lovely but there’s lots of choice nearby.
