I had a very disappointing experience at Bali Beach Hotel. Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, especially considering the price we paid. First, we specifically booked an ocean view room with a king bed on a higher floor. However, upon arrival, the staff insisted that we had booked a twin bed. Only after we showed our booking confirmation did they ask us to wait for an hour—then suddenly, within 5 minutes, they said a room was available. This already felt unprofessional and disorganized. Then came the issue with the floor. We were given a room on the 5th floor, even though we clearly requested a higher floor. When we asked, they told us that floors above 7 are only for suites. Later, we found out from other guests and online reviews that this was simply not true—regular rooms are available on higher floors. So we were clearly misinformed. We decided not to escalate and just wanted to rest. Before going to the room, we even double-checked if it was clean because my wife is very sensitive to bugs. The staff confidently said there was no possibility of insects. That turned out to be completely false. The room: • Barely had an ocean view, even though we paid extra for it • Had insects on the ceiling • Was full of ants everywhere We complained, and they said housekeeping would handle it. After we went out and came back, nothing was properly fixed—the ants were still there. We had to complain again and literally ask them to clean it in front of us, and they only used insect spray (Baygon). It felt like a temporary fix rather than proper cleaning. To make things worse, the shower was broken and leaking, and we had to request maintenance again. Breakfast was another bad experience. We had already taken a table, then suddenly a waitress moved our table without asking us and gave it to other guests. When we questioned it, the explanation was that we were only two people sitting at a four-person table. That’s fine—but: • You gave us that table in the first place • You said it was okay • Then you moved us without any communication or basic courtesy Where is the professionalism? Overall: • Poor service • Misleading information • Dirty room with insects • Maintenance issues • Rude and unprofessional staff We stayed 3 nights and paid a premium price, but received a very poor experience. We will definitely not return and will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Loved the location at beach and very suitable for.large gatherings as ours was with Hyundai Motors family. Lovely service and hospitality. Spacious rooms but we need to have specific wheelchair accessible rooms and recommend guests as per their needs.
We visited Sanur on a short break. Bali Beach Hotel was superb. The staff were amazing. They truly understand hospitality.
Me and fiancée loved our 3 day stay. The staff were always so nice, friendly and ever ready to help. Although it was a bit expensive (but again its a five star hotel afterall) we would definitely be here again. The view from the balcony is surreal directly overlooking the sanur beach which is just a few metres away. If you’re in sanur I’d definitely recommend staying hete.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at Bali Beach Hotel. The resort is stunning, expansive and spotless. We stayed on the fifth floor and enjoyed the pool view. We dined in both Rosa and Arunika for both breakfast and dinner over the course of our stay. Breakfast at Arunika is worth the extra charge – the selection of top quality choices is exceptional. We enjoyed the 22 course degustation dinner at Rosa (every Friday). Extremely generous. The resort pool is a highlight - probably the biggest resort pool we have experienced in Bali. Spotlessly clean and plenty of comfortable loungers. It would benefit however from additional shade (staff are extremely nervous when requesting umbrella shade as it can be quite windy) and better lighting to signal the steps down into the pool. My husband used the pool in the morning before breakfast for laps and I visited the well equipped gym on a few mornings. We also enjoyed cocktails and canapés in the lounge. Though must admit we found the lounge to be quite hot and the seating area not the most comfortable. But the food selection and the staff service were wonderful. All in all a fabulous experience. We would love to return. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the wonderful staff we met everywhere.
