We have just enjoyed a five day stay at The Bali Beach Hotel. Everything was great. The staff are exceptional but Ode and Ulan from the Rosso restaurant went above and beyond.

On 30 July 2026, I checked into the hotel. At the front desk, I specifically requested a quiet room, explaining that I needed to go to bed early because I was scheduled to leave for a scuba‑diving trip at 5:00 a.m. on 31 July. The front desk clerk responded without any verification: “Every one of our rooms is quiet.” However, once in the room, I discovered that a “YouTube Summit” was being held right outside the hotel. The noise level was extreme – loud music and even firework salutes could be heard clearly. Even with doors and windows shut, the disturbance remained unbearable. I immediately called the front desk from the in‑room phone to file a complaint. Around 9 p.m., a manager came to my room. Upon entering, he stated that he had asked the event organiser to lower the volume and assured me that “there would be no more noise.” In reality, loud music and chatter from the crowd were still distinctly audible inside the room. I then raised the following questions: I had made my reservation on 24 June. If the summit had already been scheduled before my booking, why was there no noise warning on the booking page? If the event was arranged after my booking, why did the hotel not notify me in advance – for example, by email – so that I could have cancelled and chosen another quiet hotel? The manager evaded these questions and instead claimed that a “notification letter” had been placed on the desk in the room, informing guests of the event and possible disturbance. This defence is utterly absurd – that letter is only visible on the day of check‑in and does not constitute prior notice. It effectively deprives the guest of the right to be informed and the right to make an alternative choice. Only after I stated my intention to escalate the complaint did the manager offer a one‑hour massage session as compensation. For a five‑star hotel, such a dismissive approach to service recovery is wholly unacceptable. the hotel’s conduct not only violates contractual obligations and consumer protection laws, but also demonstrates serious deficiencies in integrity, service quality and crisis management. A more appropriate remedy should involve substantial compensation, such as a partial room‑rate refund or reimbursement of travel‑related losses, rather than a token gesture.

Older style hotel renovated nice Balinese feel . July August windy season so sea breezes daily umbrellas may need to stay down but plenty of shaded areas. Food variable great choices at breakfast and Balinese theme dinners but too much fried foods for the health conscious. Evening cocktails nice selection in lounge pleasant environment nibbles basic . Spa treatments excellent good value . Staff friendly but sadly room service staff cant be trusted as my new unopened expensive cosmetic product went missing when left outside of safe and went missing from my room and never left my room last remembered left on top of the safe the day I was leaving. Staff were not very helpful in trying to look and find it and all a matter of fact as nothing new things going missing . For this reason would never return to the hotel again as dishonest staff just not acceptable!! Sad ending to my stay happy at my next destination where this would not happen.
