Albergo San Marco

Great location, nice modern room. Room 501. Modern in design. Compact bathroom but everything you need. We were stayibg 3 nights. We were worried the first night as a party going on in a nearby bar and the sound resonated in our room. Fortunately it stopped when we went to sleep. The rest of the time it was quiet. Breakfast was good, breads, cheeses, yoghurts, bacon, scrambled eggs. We stopped for dinner in the restaurant on the 1st night. You get 10% off if staying in the hotel. On our last morning we asked reception if we could get a coffee in the restaurant. We were told yes, so went through. The restaurant manager made a point of saying This is the restaurant when we said we only wanted a coffee. We explained that reception had said we could, so instead of getting coffee made like we had after an evening meal. He got it from the self service machine used at breakfast. Another couple (Italian) came in and asked for coffee to which he gave free of charge. We got charged

Lovely hotel in prime location. All the staff were so lovely and helpful. The rooms were clean and immaculate and maid service every day with clean towels. We were based on first floor facing the outside main walkway and you could hardly hear anything. Coffee machine in room but take teabags if your tea drinker as it does dispense just hot water. The breakfast was normal for an hotel, continental but you can ask for bacon and scrambled eggs. Overall, highly recommended, can’t understand lower ratings

We had 3 nights at the hotel. Excellent location. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would have preferred a kettle in my room to make tea or some instructions on how to use the coffee machine 😂. The bathroom door was self closing which was a little annoying if you wanted it open to let the steam out from the shower (couldn’t keep window open due to the mosquitos). The breakfast was delicious, beds very comfortable and cleanliness was fabulous. Overall a very lovely hotel and enjoyable stay. Thank you

Upon our late arrival we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who was very helpful with providing us with extra hangers and usb charging cable. Room was a small king deluxe which was superb for what we needed. Bathroom was very modern. Hotel had refurb last year so everything was modern and fresh. Fabulous location less than 1 minute walk to San Marco square. Canal view from our window watching the gondalas go by. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Great location with lots main attractions in walking distance. Would definitely recommend. A big thank you to all the great staff working here!

The location of the hotel is amazing. You can walk everywhere. Breakfast is decent too but it would have been nice if they left the coffee station open all day. Kiera at the front desk was so helpful and patient.
