Albergo San Marco

My stay at Albergo San Marco was excellent and perfect for a weekend in Venice. The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to the city centre and within easy walking distance of major attractions, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing space to return to after exploring the city. The overall atmosphere felt welcoming and well suited for a short city break. The staff were particularly impressive—friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with any questions or requests, which really enhanced the experience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommended.

Wow! The location of this hidden gem of a hotel is second to none. Within 500m of the Piazza S. Marco, the Doge Palace and Basilica. The staff were professional and extremely helpful. The breakfast selection was bountiful and catered to all tastes. The room was fresh, spacious and modern. Highly recommend this amazing centrally located property.

A beautiful location very close to St Mark's Square. Gondolas right outside your door. Small as in all Italy the rooms were well appointed and a large shower. The breakfast was very good and the staff helpful and professional. A great stay.

My wife & I went to Venice for a 3 night stay & stayed at the albergo san marco, we stayed in room 302. What a beautiful hotel. It is literally on san marco plaza's doorstep, less than 1 minutes stroll. The hotel staff were so pleasant & helpful, from the moment you step inside the reception, the cleaning staff, the restaurant staff to the bar staff. I must give a special mention to Massimo who made the best cappuccinos. Wherever we ate & had a cappuccino outside of the hotel, they were never as good as Massimo's. Restaurant breakfasts where you had SO many options available were very nice, which included Vegan milk (my wife is vegan). If we ever visit Venice again we will be staying in this hotel. I can't recommend this hotel strongly enough.

Great location, nice modern room. Room 501. Modern in design. Compact bathroom but everything you need. We were stayibg 3 nights. We were worried the first night as a party going on in a nearby bar and the sound resonated in our room. Fortunately it stopped when we went to sleep. The rest of the time it was quiet. Breakfast was good, breads, cheeses, yoghurts, bacon, scrambled eggs. We stopped for dinner in the restaurant on the 1st night. You get 10% off if staying in the hotel. On our last morning we asked reception if we could get a coffee in the restaurant. We were told yes, so went through. The restaurant manager made a point of saying This is the restaurant when we said we only wanted a coffee. We explained that reception had said we could, so instead of getting coffee made like we had after an evening meal. He got it from the self service machine used at breakfast. Another couple (Italian) came in and asked for coffee to which he gave free of charge. We got charged
