Hotel Continental

Roztomilý hotel s krásnou atmosférou v milém a malém místě Nago nad jezerem Lago di Garda. Personál ochotný, pokoje moc hezké. Výhledy z oken ať k jezeru, které vidíte jen kousíček, nebo na skály a vinice je nádherný. Bazén je 20 metrů od hotelu, jde se k němu roztomilou stezkou a najednou se pod letitými olivovníky objeví krásný bazén s malým barem, trávníkem pod momunetálními skalami. Má to prostě svého ducha. V hotelu stále něco nabízejí, buď ovoce u bazénu, nebo drinky na ochutnání. Jídelna je prostorná. Půjčují kola i elektrokola. Hotel má podzemní garáže pro auta. Je vyhledáván zejména cyklisty a motocyklisty, protože je idální základnou pro vyjížďky. Kdo se chce koupat nebo surfovat, měl by blíže k jezeru. Takhle by to bylo na dojíždění, i když dolů vede z Naga do Torbole krásná Via Europa, stará římská cesta, po níž projít se je zážitek. A netrvá to dlouho. Tak 3é minut.

1st time visiting the North of Italy, been to Rome, Florence, Naples, Cinque Terre, and Portofino...so we will see what the North has to offer, and was not disappointed. The Scenery, backdrops are unbelievable. So 'Hotel Continental' Location, in Nago quiet, peaceful, perfect for Trekkers, Bikers.. Good mix of clientele, French, German, Austrian, English The Staff everyone of them were friendly, helpful, Reception: All the girls very helpful, nothing was an issue Courtyard bar: Michelangelo 'Cocktail Supremist', and his partner super fast, jolly. The Pool: Osama (after the President) brilliant guy, works his socks off Restaurant: Again all the staff are friendly, but No1 is Arianna.. what a fantastic lady Rooms: booked as a package with Jet 2, so was only offered the Standard, would have paid more to upgrade if offered, but it was cleaned everyday, lovely balcony to sit out on (shower cubicle was a bit small) and maybe not enough 'wardrobe space' Anyway --- Positives As i said the location, tranquillity. I used the pool 7am, few lengths, then breakfast, there is enough to choose Hot & Cold, Prosecco, Smoothies, coffees pastries etc, then if you want a lazy day round the pool, fantastic, recommend use the Sunbeds in the gardens adjacent to the pool area, peaceful. normally got bust around 3-5pm Also 'EXPLORE'... so many nice walks around, you can choose hard/easy, also definitely hire bikes (E-Bikes), we hired 2 about 72 Euros for the day, (inc helmet & lock) went on the new cycle track through vineyards onto to Arco, coffee stop, onto Riva del Garda, swim in the Lake, and lunch, back along the coast to Torbole, Ice-cream stop, then up the hill...Via Europa...use an E-Bike, then a stop off at Al Fortino, Aperol or Limoncello Spritzer. ( in fact we would walk every day to Al Fortino for chill out from the hotel less than 10mins) soak in the view and watch the cyclists coming up the hill !! Boat Trips, take the shuttle bus from the hotel to Torbole jetty, catch a Ferry to Limone, sight-see, beautiful..(would recommend early, try and leave before 2 ish), also take the ferry to Malcesine, another lovely town, once there take the Cable car to the top of Monte Baldo, sit in a restaurant by the lake. Awesome. The Girls at reception will give you plenty of information/leaflets on it all..do it Overall i believe the location & people make your vacation, and this was superb, so thanks to everyone at Hotel Continental, the local people, people we met chatted to, they recommended things to do around the area. Yes there were a couple of 'minor' niggles, but I'm not writing any, the Positives far outweighed them. We will be back Grazie a Tutti

First time in Italy as we spent a week at the hotel Continental. Although about 2km away from the shores of Lake Garda the hotel is in a lovely location. You can xatch the hotel minibus into Torbole at 9.00am and 10.00am each morning and then there is a return service at 4.00pm. We walked down on one of the trails on one occasion and caught the local bus service back a coupke of times. You can use the local bus service for free if you ask at the hotel reception. We arrived at the hotel at 10pm on our first night (dinner being 7pm to 9pm) but we were still looked after in rhe dining room with a plate full (and I mean full) of cold meats, cheese, salad, fruit you name it and a beautifuk glass of local wine. Breakfast was buffet style, but there was soooo much to choose from you couldnt fail to find something you would like. The menu would be on your table each morning to make your choice of evening meal 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. You could also raid the salad bar before your starter. If your not a big eater then you just choose what you want. Everything we chose over the week was lovely and nothing was repeated during the week. The facilities are great, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor and outdoor bars, lifts to all floors, sauna, gym, evening entertainment on some nights. The room although not huge was enough for us and had a balcony with furniture which we used to sit out on an evening after dinner. The best thing about our whole experience were the staff, they are a credit to the hotel. Whether restaurant, reception, room cleaners even the odd job guy who did everything from trimming the hedges to driving you into town in the minibus. All were so friendly, polite, helpful and made you feel so at home. I sincerely hope we will be back one day.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Continental Hotel, Nago. The facilities were spotless, the staff amazing and the food and accommodation were excellent. The hotel is in a great location with a lovely outdoor pool. A good base for discovering Lake Garda.

I am a lone traveller and this was my second stay at Hotel Continental. It was lovely that in the whole the staff had not changed and and i got to see familiar faces, which added to my comfort. Last year I went for 1 week but decided to do 2 this year. The staff made me feel welcome and taken care off. They are friendly, polite and helpful. They all work extremely hard long hours but are always happy to stop and have a chat, asking how you're day has been and checking if you need anything. I decided to have a lunch on my last day and ended up in the restraunt on my own and was looked after by Linda who chatted and made a real fuss of me making my last day very special. Bar staff are warm and welcoming making you feel like an old friend. Reading some other reviews and comments I would say this... Regarding rooms: They have a variety of room sizes to choose from. Most, depending on you're price range are decorated neutrally with simple furniture but they are perfectly comfortable and serviceable. The bathrooms are a little dated but again serviceable, although would be nice to have larger shower units in the lower price range as they are a little tight if you are more rotund. 😊. I know that the air con is not switched on until the season officially starts but maybe it would be a good idea to monitor weather and turn this on a little sooner when heat comes earlier to make the rooms more comfortable. Something the owners may not be aware of is that the sound of somone peeing from you're neighbours bathroom can be heard in your room. Possibly something could be looked into to reduce sound carrying? The rooms are serviced daily, thoroughly cleaned, including the balcony area and anything you need replacing or changed. If you need anything extra throughout you're stay just ask either housekeeping or the reception, everyone is happy to help. Restaurant: Someone said there wasn't enough choice... For breakfast there is a huge choice of breads, cakes, cookies. Fresh meats sliced and fresh cheeses, yoghurts cereals and a large selection of fruits. Hot breakfast items that include bacon, sausage, beans etc. Eggs cooked various ways, pancakes and mini waffles, there is also a chef who will be happy to cook fresh omelette for you. You have access to various teas, coffees and juices. You can even use the juicer to make you're favourite version using fresh fruit and vegetables. If you want you're morning to feel bit like a celebration they even provide prosecco so you can make a cheeky bucks fizz. Each morning you are given a menu which provides you with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts for you're evening meal you then also have access to a large selection of various dishes and salad items that changes daily from the salad bar. You have a table assigned to you for the duration of you're stay, you take a seat and the staff will take a drinks order, go and fill you're plate from the salad bar. The staff will bring out each course. There will be a break between the courses because traditionally Italians see meal times as a chance to relax catch up with family or friends and take you're time to enjoy company and a good food. If you wish for a course to brought out quicker just ask they will accommodate you. I do understand the comment from the guest regarding the new extension it just needs a little bit more character and something to blend it with the rest of the restraunt. My only personal criticism is that if it is you're first time in the restaurant and its busy so you can't see any staff then you are unsure of where to go or what to do, it can feel daunting. Maybe a sign at the door explaining the process would help as I saw a few guests looking quite lost hovering at the door for some time until someone noticed them. Or maybe it could be explained when checking in and the table number given to them with their room cards? I do love the Continental it is very much a family business and their staff reflect that making you feel like they genuinely care. Many guests including myself have visited many times, with one couple who visit every year for more than 20 years since they opened... they must be doing something right 😊 Thank you again to the Continental for making my holiday more special, hope to see you all again soon.
