Hotel Stabia has a prime location close to the sea front. The staff were brilliant all had a sense of humour and extremely helpful. The rooms were large with high ceiling difficult to cool with the air conditioning and the traffic noise went on until the early hours. The jewel of this hotel is the rooftop where you can have an evening meal then relax as the sun sets. There is a plunge pool and a small swimming pool on the roof with several comfortable seats. The building is old and in places looks tired. There was a large food selection at breakfast which would suit anybody. The dinner menu was exceptional the food was fabulous and well presented. Stayed via Tui package visiting local beauty spots and places of historical importance. The room was clean with fresh towels and bedding daily. The bar was very modern. The restaurant offered evening meals and we ate there one evening and wished we had used it every evening. The food was amazing compared to what was on offer outside. The staff were lovely and most helpful. The rooftop was lovely. I don't have any issues recommending this hotel. The only let down was where it was situated.

We booked this hotel 1 year ago, when we arrived we was told no rooms for us, was told they had changed computer system and our rooms had not been booked. Was taken to their sister hotel DO NOT stay there overlooking industrial docks, busy road right in front of hotel and our rooms looked like a young child had being let loose with a pencil all over the walls. A waste of our first afternoon, Annalisa from Hotel Stabia was very helpful and kind thank you.

We stayed as part of a TUI group tour. The hotel front of house staff were very helpful and friendly with recommendations for places to visit for food and drink. Rooms large and clean but not very well equipped. Air-conditioning was hopeless and was centrally controlled and remained at 25 for our entire stay. As a result sleep wasnt great. The hotel advertises enjoying the sunset from the rooftop terrace, unfortunately the rooftop was always booked out for private events so we never got to enjoy this, no bar on the roof and the lobby bar only opens at 6pm, both small pools were closed but in fairness this was expected in May. The location is good with rail travel to sorrento, pompei and naples, loads of places to eat locally and a supermarket 5 mins walk. The food was average, breakfast is typical buffet style but the group tables are a big downside, if you arent seated all at the same time you come to breakfast to be met with other guests empty plates, cutlery and tables strewn with crumbs and bits of food etc. The hotel is clean but public areas are tired, carpets torn and frayed on the stairs are not only unsightly but a potential trip hazard. If you are looking for a base to explore from the location is ideal, 3 star at best at the moment. It's definitely aimed at touring groups so it you are considering booking as a couple outwith a tour id avoid it.

What a wonderful hotel and location. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. All the front desk people were fantastic, didn't get all their names but Adriana was lovely, and in particular Kartelo deserves a big mention. Incredible service, polite, helpful and very hard working - a real pleasure to see someone doing a great job. The hotel is beautiful, all original features and grandeur. We stayed in a family room on the first floor and it was absolutely perfect, you could not fault it in any way. Really no hesitation for a family booking this room, it was huge, stylish, impeccably clean. The location is wonderful, easy access on local train a few minutes walk away to get you anywhere - Sorrento to Naples - 15 minutes to Pompeii and just 2euros each way. The town is authentic and full of atmosphere and great places to eat and drink coctails etc. Waking up to the sea views and Vesuvius and those incredible sunsets really does put the icing on the cake. Cannot recommend high enough.
