Sant'Efis Hotel

Fabstastic and magical hotel. Super beautiful maintained garden, pools and beach. Over friendly and supportive staff! Would rate 11 out of 10 and come back any time!

Stayed at Sant Efis hotel in June 2025. The gardens and pools are beautiful with lots of loungers for relaxing. Staff were extremely unhelpful. We asked for options to hire a car as everything is very far away and after asking multiple times we stopped. We were charged €4 for having a small jug of milk in the room for tea’s and coffee’s. Often there was no staff at the pool par for hours. Overall it’s a very quiet hotel with not many people around and as a result they’re trying to kick you out the restaurant at 9pm (although the food was very good!) The car journey is also approx 30 mins to the airport with a taxi price of €85 each way. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially at a price of £2002 for 6 nights in June. Avoid at all costs!

Spent one week in this beautiful hotel The hotel has a beautiful situation with a private part on the beach The garden, végétation and flowers are stunning The rooms are very clean & joyeful The 2 pools are lovely and well taken care of The restaurant which has a dream view on the sea serves good food and very kind service The breakfast has a very large choice of fresh food really delicious The hotel is really peaceful and relaxing It is not far from Pula but there is not much to do there - for shopping or night fun restaurants cafés etc you should go to Cagliari I thank the whole team of this gorgeous resort and highly recommend Sant’Efis

We had a wonderful stay at Sant’Efis Hotel. The hotel grounds and gardens are truly its standout feature, the lush foliage throughout the reception, rooms, and pool areas creates a stunning and peaceful atmosphere. There are two beautiful pools, and as the hotel is relatively small, neither ever felt crowded. The beach access is also lovely, with clear water that makes swimming and relaxing by the sea a pleasure. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality food. The hotel restaurant also impressed us with its wide selection of seafood and overall high standard of dishes. The hotel is about a 7–8 minute drive from Pula. While it’s possible to walk, it is long, so a car is definitely recommended. Pula itself is small but charming, with a lively square in August and some good dining options. Staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were friendly and accommodating. The rooms are not especially large, and some, including ours, face onto the car park, which is less appealing compared to the beauty of the grounds. That said, as we spent very little time in the room, it wasn’t an issue for us, though it’s understandable why some guests might feel differently. Overall, we loved our stay at Sant’Efis Hotel and would happily return.

Stunning Setting, Disappointing Service Sant Efis is, without a doubt, a visually stunning hotel. The setting is gorgeous, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the food was genuinely delicious. However, our experience was significantly let down by the attitude and professionalism of several staff members. From the moment we arrived, the general vibe was one of disinterest—as if our presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued part of their business. Hospitality felt like an afterthought. It’s incredibly disappointing to feel unwelcome in a place of this calibre, especially given its reputation and price point. We also encountered an issue with the air conditioning in our room. The initial response from reception was almost laughable: we were told the AC wasn’t working properly because we had “booked the wrong room type” for two adults and a 5-year-old child. It turns out the real issue was that the filters were simply dirty. While someone did eventually come to clean them, the unit stopped working again shortly after. At that point, we gave up trying to have it resolved—something that should never happen at a hotel of this standard. As for the staff, there were clear contrasts. One woman stood out for her warmth and professionalism—she should absolutely be recognised and promoted for her exceptional guest service. In stark contrast, one male staff member seemed more interested in strutting around than assisting guests. His attitude was dismissive at best, and unprofessional at worst. First impressions also matter, and unfortunately, the heavily tattooed male receptionist, our first point of contact, set the wrong tone with his aloof manner and lack of basic courtesy. Front desk staff should make guests feel welcome—not like they’re interrupting their day. It’s a shame that such a beautiful place is let down by poor service. With proper staff training and a serious reassessment of frontline personnel, this hotel could truly offer the luxury experience it visually promises.
