Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort & Spa

Vychutnali jsme si krásné dny pohody a relaxu s dobrým jídlem a pitím. Především nás oslovili večeře v ala carte restauracích. Jen nás mrzelo, že z důvodu zhoršeného počasí jsme si neužili moře, ale i procházky po pláži byly příjemné.

We stayed in one of the deluxe bungalows which I think is the standard option from jet 2. The photo is very misleading re size. They are very small with just enough room to get around the bed but then you play shuffle to get to the wardrobe. They are surrounded by trees with very little sunlight making it onto the patio outside the room. The hotel is ok. But beware if you like to walk out, there is no where to walk to apart from the hotel grounds I am glad we didnt upgrade to the signature level for extra money as the rooms for that are in a separate block at the back a way from the beach and while it had its own pool for exclusive use it felt small and enclosed. If we went back we would get a room in the main part of the hotel. The food was ok but it did feel a bit cafeteria like with the way it was laid out. Nothing majorly wrong with anything It's not a hotel that I would return to in a hurry. I wouldn't categorise it as a 5*

With a family of fussy eaters we have typically chosen all inclusive resorts for our summer holidays. The Grand Palladium Sicilia is one of the few to offer this in Sicily, a place none of us had visited before. We booked two bungalows. One for the kids and one for my wife and I. Our first error was to book one premium bungalow and one standard. The Grand Palladium is a resort of two halves providing two distinctly different experiences. The premium offering provides a different pool, different service and different drinks offerings. I'd recommend the upgrade if it's within your reach. The food at the buffet is good and constantly evolves daily. The onsite restaurants are also good although it does sometimes feel like the staff are incentivised to push upgrades or supplemental offerings and their attitude towards you changes markedly once you've selected a premium option or not. In other news...The gym is a bit of a token effort, the Sports bar is probably the easiest place to sit and have a drink in an evening as the premium reception bar is a little sterile. We had a number of excursions to Etna, Cefalu, Taormina etc and the hotel provided a good base. I'd recommend an official tour rather than hiring a bike or car as the driving is truly heart stopping. I'd recommend this hotel for 10-day trip to Sicily.

Accommodation exceptionally good bungalows spacious cool patio area cleaned daily. Food restaurant very good themed daily . 4 other restaurants on site all brilliant at what they did . Portofino restaurant superb for lunch and seafood. Steak restaurant second to none and the Thai restaurant was also very good these 3 came with premium over all inclusive but well worth the additional costs . Sports bar/restaurant was also handy open till 2pm for returning day strippers to get something to eat . .. Book your own excursions prior to going as we found the Jet2 excursions on site heavily oversubscribed and therefore not enjoyable. Visit Cefalu and Palermo, Etna if you can afford it very pricey. Back to the hotel an excellent location on the beach means a two minute walk past the pools and your beachside . Highly recommended already booked return .

Was just what we needed to cover from an operation and house move! Pools were clean but very cold and entertainers gave their all to get us involved! The lobby pianist was excellent and much enjoyed bu all of us who gathered every night to hear him and savour a drink. The bars were great, food was varied but they generally offered the same sort of fayre each day. Biggest downers were difficulties in booking a la carte meals, limited range of gluten free food - it wasn't to the standard of other foods and noise in the canteen was very loud owing to the open plan nature of the space.
