Lotoya and Shantel were very welcoming and made great coffee. The atmosphere is casual, relaxing and pleasant with great service.

Myself and my Husband went to Ocean Eden Bay to celebrate our 25 Wedding Anniversary for 10 nights September 2025. This is the second time that we have stayed at this resort, we were last there in July 2023, again for 10 nights. We arrived at the hotel to check in and was disappointed to have to wait for 25-30 minutes to get our room, there was only one member of staff on the front desk at that time, but after such a long journey from the UK, it was something I could have done without. I had advised the hotel that it was our anniversary and they had put a banner on our room door and supplied us with a chocolate cake in our room which was a nice touch. The room and hotel were clean and tidy, the supply of coffee, tea and the filling of the mini bar was hit and miss throughout our stay, and we sometimes had to call down to get this sorted, but this was done in a timely manner. The main buffet restaurant was something that I think had changed a lot since we were last there, the service level of the serving team was poor at best! The attitude of the staff in that restaurant was shocking! We were lucky if we got a good morning, never mind a tea or coffee. The only good thing I can report is that the welcome team on the desk in that restaurant that take your room number etc were fantastic!! So thank you Kasheenia, Natalia and Britany for being pure sunshine, and we can not thank you enough for being so kind to us. It is a shame that your colleagues inside were not so kind. The other restaurants were lovely on the whole, our favourites were Thali, Blue Moon and The Steak House. The food and service were amazing in these restaurants and I would like to thank Susan in the Steak house who was the most beautiful person and fantastic host, and Sharlotte in Blue Moon, again what a fantastic asset to have as a team member. The entertainment was very good and there was lots of different things that you could take part or watch all day long. Our main entertainment guy Billy is by far the best entertainer on the resort. On both occasions of being at this hotel he has been there and is just awesome! He gets the crowd going and is such a funny and kind person. He has so much talent, one minute is is playing the drums or rapping, the next minute he is being the best compare at the pool party with one of the crazy games. He made our stay so much fun. Our holiday apart from the treatment in the Captain's Market was really good, and we made memories that will last a lifetime. The staff that I have mentioned we will remember forever, they made our special holiday perfect. The others I think need to be better trained or look for a new occupation.

Amanda did a fantastic job for us in the morning bar. She is the absolute best! She makes the best drinks AND has the best customer service!!
