My friend and I stayed here recently and had a really lovely stay. Check in was easy although we were not told about towels, we used our own for the sun beds we weren’t fussed. We had to take our own cases to our room, across the pool area, down a slope and up some stairs. Luckily a man nearby offered to assist with the cases, not sure if there is assistance available, we were not offered any. Also lucky for us we were at the top of the slope! As we had to get the cases down the stairs and up the slope when checking out. Our room was very spacious and we had booked “My favourite club” with sea view. Balcony was really good size, we over looked the room roofs infront with solar panels on them and then there was the sea in the distance. Room was clean, bed was comfy and the aircon fab. The fridge had cokes, beers, water and we had a welcoming bottle of wine too. The fridge wasn’t topped up but bottles of water were always left in room. Hotel staff were nice, hotel was clean and was always being cleaned. Restaurant wasn’t that busy while we were there and we were able to eat in the “My favourite Club” area. If eating out by the pool do not leave food unattended as the birds will have it away!! Bacon too! Drinks were all self service and in our opinion the wine was better quality in the “My favourite Club” Food was ok, just watch for the flies, can’t be helped if food is in an open space. There was always fresh pizza being cooked, pasta dishes, salad, hot dogs and burgers, and a selection of daily cooked varieties. The food snack area in the Favourite lounge could easily be altered and have a covered area. Overall food would be a 7/10 The pools were nice and spacious and never full, probably because they were cold, just take the plunge and get in lol. Lots of people using the indoor spa pool. There was always sun beds available, but, yes there were those that would be up at the crack of dawn to save beds, and even move sun beds under your umbrella shade (tight squeeze) even with lots of sun beds free, we were baffled. The rooms are on a meandering slope, with quite an uphill walk if you are down the bottom, no lifts in these areas to get you to your room. The beaches are amazing, stunning in fact. We had lovely morning walks before the sun got too hot. Take water for the walk back as it can be for some people quite a trek. It took myself 6minutes from the bottom of the hill, (not the beach) to get back to the pool, quite fast paced and I yes I melted. A slower walk, maybe 15-20 minutes from the beach. The entertainment staff are good fun, daily games looked fun with lots of people participating, language most of the time was in french. Evening entertainment I have to say was poor, with people leaving part the way through. Bar service throughout the hotel is slow, very slow, long cues. Later in the afternoon another pool bar opens which does help. We did an island tour, which was booked online and throughly enjoyed this. If you go to the caves on this trip, trainers are recommended as there is an even climb. Taxi to the town was ten euros, 10 min drive. I would recommend this hotel and area, it was fairly quiet, this obviously depends on time of year and guests (some far noisier than others, with no respect for others either, but this could happen anywhere) Clientele here probably mostly french. Would I return? Yes. I would try other hotels too in the area, there is so much we didn’t get to see, so a return trip will be on the cards. This hotel is not on beach front, there is a downward walk to the beach, be prepared for the hike back.
Ostatní číšníci a obsluha byli perfektní, vždy milí a ochotní. Bazény a okolí hotelu velmi krásné,vždy dostatek lehátek a skvěle zásobený bar .
Our week’s stay at this resort was mostly excellent, with a wide and high variety of food, drinks and amenities on offer. The customer service was generally strong and the room was clean and well-equipped for our needs. We were impressed with the high standard of housekeeping at the hotel, who would offer daily cleaning and additional services via an app. The beach was incredible, and only a 10 minute walk from the hotel, even if you have to take a mountainous route to get there. If you are looking for somewhere that has a peaceful, more adult-orientated atmosphere, then Alua Village is a brilliant option. Although we enjoyed our holiday there, there were a few issues. The hotel is in need of some maintenance: our bathroom was tired-looking, and the main pool had multiple loose and missing tiles. The food at the buffet restaurant can be inconsistent, though their better dishes were delicious. If you have reduced mobility, then the long, hilly walks back and to from your room may be a problem. The entertainment was not a highlight for us, but we didn’t actively engage in it. Despite these negatives, we would definitely encourage others to stay at Alua Village!
We had a lovely relaxing time, the beach was beautiful, hotel staff very helpful, bit disappointed with the bathroom it had a horrible smell, and needs updating, but towels were changed everyday. The sunbeds around the pool were very uncomfortable. But overall a great escape for a week.
Honest Review Hotel was nice, clean and the staff were very friendly. Drink selection was great throughout the day and night. Be aware that the walk to the rooms are on a big slope and quite a way from the restaurant and bar. One major issue was the queue for the bar of at some points during the day and mostly night. You would think that there would be more than one person serving drinks and a much bigger bar. Be aware of workers trying to sell you cocktails which aren’t all inclusive and cost money. Getting sunbeds was no problem during any part of the day. The food is average, but there is a wide selection. Overall a solid 4-star hotel. You get what you pay for.
