Arena Castillo Apartments

Just returned from a fantastic week in Arena Castillo. Good sized rooms. Small kitchen in a large lounge area. Clean resort due to its newness. Nice pool, not too busy when we were there, but I can see it will get a lot busier in the holidays when fully occupied. Fantastic location for bars and restaurants nearby. Reasonably priced drinks at the pool bar. Fantastic roof terraces that could be made adults only, as a peaceful option to the poolside. The bar on the mid terrace was a lovely area for late afternoon drinks however the only downside was the staff were sometimes pulled to help out at the Arena Rock Bar when they were short., leaving it closed. Towels and safe available for hire with a part refundable deposit. Bedding wasn't changed during our week-long stay. But the room was cleaned and fresh towels provided. Good storage in full length bedroom wardrobes. Could take or leave the daytime entertainment, however some really liked it. The main girl was nice and not too pushy. The stand in was a bit too loud and pushy trying to get people involved even whilst obviously resting/ sleeping. This place is great for all the family but can imagine it will only get busier which may give it a different feel.

This hotel was absolutely exceptional clean large room the staff were so friendly especially the entertainment staff absolutely wonderful I would recommend to everyone will definitely return next year

Probably the best hotel in caleta but time will tell how well its maintained. spacious and well equipped rooms with great pool areas and terraces to sunbathe on. breakfast very overpriced when you can get for a fraction of the price in any of the nearby restuarants, but on the whole a fantastic hotel and staff and would recommend a superior room. loved the place

I'd recommend this hotel for a relaxing break. There were plenty of sunbeds. The pool was very child friendly and fun. The deep end was suitable for older children, with a gradual slope and not too deep. Wi-Fi connection was brilliant throughout the hotel but we seemed unlucky with the apartment router. Sometimes Wi-Fi connected on our balcony (possibly to other routers) but very rarely in our apartment 3204. The spacious balcony had great privacy on one side but a screen may be planned for the other side. It was worth visiting the roof top bar which is a lot quieter than the new rock bar! Food was excellent both at breakfast and in the rock bar. Portions were generous, although breakfast was too much for a child. The apartment was lovely and beds (including the sofa bed) were comfortable, we slept well! Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Hotel and staff excellent plenty of sunbeds dotted around to use rooms very spacious and clean one problem was location of safe had to kneel on floor to access not good idea for myself at 72 years another concern was security when arrived given tag for security not a good idea when anyone could access hotel from sports bar which was open to general public also fire door near sports bar left open most of day also found breakfast really expensive would prefer smaller breakfast not everyone needs double of everything also not choice buffet option not very interesting would I book again yes probably would
