Arena Castillo Apartments

Such a beautiful modern hotel with great lounging areas. The rooftop area is vast and well laid out too. Check in was nice and quick (something that is often a real drag all the times we’ve stayed at the Barcelo Mar) rooms are definitely on par or better than a Barcelo. What stood out was the fantastic service from Kevin on reception. Nothing was too much trouble, he dealt with all my queries and requests and had such a warm manner. These things leave a lasting impression for the hotel.

We stayed at the arenas Castillo hotel for the first time as this is a new hotel. They are still building the restaurant downstairs but noise was minimal. What a lovely clean hotel, the apartments were very spacious and had everything you would need. Lovely main pool area and plenty of sunbeds, no need to get there at the crack of dawn either which was a plus. The rooftop area is great but a little quiet, maybe some back ground music as you can hear a pin drop! All the staff were friendly and helpful. A great hotel which is close to bars and restaurants.

My husband and I enjoyed a last minute break at the Arena Castillo Hotel. Lovely apartments , we had 2106 on ground floor. Sun on terrace accessed from bedroom . Very large lounge, kitchen area. Not many cooking utensils. 1 frying pan, one saucepan and one huge casserole. No cereal bowls only 4 large bowls. Good sized bedroom with fitted wardrobe and safe. Bathroom had small walk in shower with loo, bidet, large mirror and washbasin. A shelf for toiletries/ toiletries bag, would be helpful as we had to put things on the floor. As in most resorts, no oven but 2 cooking rings ,toaster, kettle microwave and coffee maker. Only small tweaks needed. We gave booked to return in April for 2 weeks. Great location near to sea walk, restaurants, supermarket. Hopefully tge zircon will be running by then and evening entertainment, which was not available in February. Pool bar great and roof top bar on yhe sun terrace with views is great. Pool small so gets full quickly but not lounger saving allowed. Can't wait to return

We,ve just come back from Arena Castillo and had a fantastic relaxing week away. The breakfast was amazing and staff were so friendly. There are so many places to chill. If we were to go back,we would probably go later in the month,but definitely go back to the Arena Castllo. And If you like steak then go to Fado Rock,a 5 minute walk away.

Everything clean and couldn't fault anything apart from it could do with shelving in the bathroom
