Coral Cotillo Beach

Positives - lovely staff, immaculately clean rooms and outside spaces. Fab pool. Continental breakfasts were very good. Plenty of sun beds. Drinks were well priced (glass of wine €4.50) Negatives - 'hot' food was cold every day we were there. All the meat was tough and chewy. Little choice . I did mention the cold food ( and cold plates) but nothing was done. We ended up eating out for our main meal, only going into the restaurant for a salad. The only public place to relax after dinner was an uncomfortable cocktail bar, which was open to the public. We couldn't get a coffee after 9.30pm. There are loads of little cafes and bars to eat at, all at decent prices. We noticed that most people only booked b&b, which was a good choice! We loved El Cotillo. Authentic, with no English pubs/cafes and no 'tat' shops.

Lovely place to stay - a little escape for my daughter and I. Peaceful, well maintained and really friendly, helpful staff. Will be back.

Fabulous hotel, super staff, perfect location for eating out.

150m from the sea, two beautiful swimming beaches a walk away and a dozen restaurants and two bars even closer. It’s the main hotel - two others are much smaller - in this small town about 40 minutes from the airport and a world way from the larger, more popular, resorts on the island. The hotel staff are warm and helpful and the hotel facilities are excellent. I am concerned to recommend it as it will inevitably mean more people will want to come.

This was our first time in El Cotillo and we will definitely be back. The hotel was fabulous. A great location. 10 minutes was to the glorious sandy lagoon beach. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We had pool towels and a safe at no extra charge. We asked for a kettle- and got one. Great for those who like a cup of tea in the mornings. The rooms were a decent size, but lacked table top space, other than over the small fridge and a small cupboard. Great shower and hairdryer was provided in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, and some gluten free items. We could even get a glass of Cava if we wanted some. The pool area wasn’t too busy and no fighting for sunbeds- although we saw couples putting towels out at 8am! Good supermarket next door. A self serve laundry just down from supermarket. Lovely ice cream shop, and a clothes/gift shop next to hotel too- along with a Canarian local food produce shop. All worth a visit. The big supermarket and Chinese shop was a 10 minute walk away, as well as a vast amount of restaurants and different eateries. The whole place had a great peaceful vibe. We will definitely return.
