Coral Cotillo Beach

Fantastic place! Such great value for money! Great breakfasts! Very clean. Very kind & helpful staff! Loved working with their fitness instructor Renny who tailored special fitness programs for my partner and I. We also had a fun salsa dancing class with him. He was the absolute highlight of the trip! 1000% would return here. Loved the little town of El Cotillo which has great restaurants, shops, surfing & biking etc etc. 5 stars all around!

I love this hotel. It's very well placed for the village facilities and the beaches. The staff are very friendly efficient and helpful. The rooms are really spacious and had everything I needed. The breakfast was amazing. Loads of choice even prosecco. Everywhere was spotless and the lovely gardens the pool and the bar area were well cared for.

Overall, we had a good stay at Coral Cotillo Beach. Location was great, beds were very comfortable and bathroom spacious with a powerful shower (overhead rain shower and adjustable shower head on rail). Plenty of hanging space and hangers, as well as a safe in the wardrobe. The room was very clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty of different choices. We stayed half board but only ate 3 times in a week. The evening meals were not great. Food was almost always luke warm / cold and not always good quality, although one or two of the dishes we tried were very tasty. General maintenance seemed poor - our room had a broken drawer in the cupboard and the main unit with the fridge inside was very scuffed and worn. The wall mounted bedside tables were very small and not very steady. The fridge was not very cold. There was very little worktop / shelf space in the bedroom itself; only the unit that housed the fridge and also had the coffee machine on top, along with a very small side table near the chair. Just a small dressing table would have made a big difference. Cleaning was good and cleaners were very nice and friendly but glasses and coffee mugs were not cleaned / changed. Service was generally good, although some staff seemed quite indifferent. Joshua in the restaurant and pool bar, and Allessandro in the Solar Rooftop bar stood out for their more friendly and helpful service. Drinks were excellent. Taking into account what we paid, and the positive aspects of this hotel, it was generally good value. We would stay again on a B&B basis, due to its location, excellent breakfast offering and comfortable beds.

A lovely hotel, only on 2 levels and is beautifully laid out. The pictures don’t do it any justice as the area around the hotel pool etc is very pretty and lush with plants and trees. We had a lovely ground floor room ( 1014) which opened out onto the pool side and had the best of the afternoon and evening sun. My only gripe was the glazed sliding door which was noisy and not practical. The rooms aren’t that well insulated either so expect to hear the next door neighbour in their room and bathroom! Earplugs for light sleepers. The hotel is quite modern and contemporary. Very clean and well maintained on the whole. The ladies toilet facilities off the hotel foyer would benefit from having some flowers or a couple of plants in there to brighten it up though. We paid for B&B but did eat in on a few occasions. The food was very good with a good selection of everything. The staff are very friendly as are all the locals. The bar adjacent/connected to the hotel ‘Solar’ was nice, with some occasional entertainment. Katie & Bill the duo who sang there a couple of times were great. Beautiful voices and guitar playing. Great cover versions on some modern and classic songs. There’s a great are for tennis/ pickleball and a children’s play area. The area opposite the front of the hotel is undergoing construction, as are some other areas around the town. There is some major development of a supermarket near to the hotel. There is a HyperDino supermarket a few doors down from the hotel. It’s very handy for fresh bread, and cakes from the bakery isle. The staff there are very friendly too. With all the construction going on I would imagine any rooms at the front of the hotel which are directly on the roadside may get affected by the noise and dust? Their views of the sea are now compromised by the construction of a building and ongoing construction work. El Cotillo is a lovely developing coastal town. Although it is remote with it being on the top north west of the island. There is an hourly bus service to Corralejo which is very cheap. Which takes about an hour. I would recommend hiring a car if staying for more than a week. There are some lovely bars and places to eat with great food at reasonable prices. Beaches: Exiting the hotel to the right , there’s a little bit of a walk up to a sandy beach and sheltered coves - great for children. There are no beach facilities on the beach though. There is a beach bar further along the beach over some rocks which leads onto a bigger stretch of beach and more coves. There are toilets at the beach bar but they were frequently closed after breaking down. The beach bar serves a great selection of freshly made food - filled rolls, pizza slices , cakes, traybakes, desserts ( cheesecakes are scrummy) well as ice cream. There’s a good selection of hot and cold drinks including alcohol. We will definitely return to the hotel at some point in the future. I would definitely recommend taking a couple of jumpers and long trousers as the evenings do get very chilly early in the season, although the weather this time of the year has been exceptionally cold!

Lovely peaceful hotel with friendly helpful staff, good sized comfortable room, great breakfast and nice Pool.
