Paradisus by Melia Fuerteventura

Following our trip to Paradisus in Fuertuventura, (May 2026) and signing up to The Circle by Meliá, which is a bespoke holiday experience giving you a number of hotels around the globe to stay in, yes it costs to become a member but overall a cost saving per year by around about £1500 I feel we will save for the year on 2 x 1 week holidays, We do enjoy Paradisus hotels, the quality and look of each place unique to the area they are within, having stayed at a number of them over the years we can now look to see more of these hotels knowing they will be either 4/5 star, We signed up to The Circle by Melia and our contact is Natasha Cavalcanti, the spiel at the time was that she would be available to help us at any time, to date she was not wrong, her help in our first booking has been invaluable and guiding us through this which shows competence empathy ( after listening to me question query and drone on to be fair ) and understanding to what I was asking and getting the answers needed in a timely manner and knowing she was doing so happily . I had an amazing stay at Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura, staying in The Reserve area. From arrival, everything felt calm, luxurious, and well organised. The Reserve experience was great — the private areas were peaceful, which made the holiday feel much more exclusive and relaxing. The room was spacious, modern and had incredible views (stayed on the highest floor 9th with lagoon views as had sunlight for the majority of the day, as per my request). The staff truly made the experience special. The team at reception were fantastic and took the time to personally show me around the resort on arrival, which made me feel welcome immediately. She even kindly arranged a provisional dinner reservation to ensure I would not miss it, which was really thoughtful. The staff at The Reserve area swimming pool and breakfast areas were also exceptional — attentive and charming. The food and drinks across the resort were good and with plenty of variety. Breakfast was of particular highlight. The location is stunning, right next to the beautiful (and windy) Sotavento beach with breathtaking turquoise water and a very relaxing atmosphere. One small suggestion would be for the rooms and communal areas to include insect repellent, as it would make the evenings more comfortable. Overall, a great resort experience, I would happily return. Recommend upgrading to The Reserve for the extra comfort and exclusivity.

This was our first stay at this hotel, and overall, it turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in recent years. The highlight was definitely the dining. We tried all of the à la carte restaurants—Mahos was our favorite, though it’s adults only, so we couldn’t bring the kids. The main restaurant was also very good, offering great variety. The cocktails at the bars were excellent quality. I should also mention the service, which was spotless. The hotel never felt crowded; there were always plenty of available tables in the restaurants, though we might have been early birds. Every evening, there was either live music or singing, along with very good shows—our favorite being “Magic.” I actually came to Fuerteventura for windsurfing. Five out of eight days had good wind. The Rene Egli station is one of the best-organized I’ve seen. On one of the windless days, we went wave surfing on the west-north side of the island, just a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Alberto from Adrenaline Surfing was fantastic—easygoing, fun, and great at helping my boys get started in the water. Even though it was our first time, all of us managed a few rides. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel!

Room really good but many things do not live up to 5*. Food mostly good and choice is good but sometimes cold in speciality restaurants..

Bedrooms facing south over the lagoon are amazing. The view over the pool, lagoon, beach and Atlantic are quite something. The beds, bedding and pillows are excellent, a great night's sleep. The staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful. The main pool area, Shack and Kana are really good, clean and spacious. However, at this Paradisus I do not feel the reserve is worth the extra. The bar and food is on level 4, the pool and separate bar is on level 1. The Reserve pool area is not attractive, however the sun beds are comfortable. The restaurants are adequate. Dishes are fresh, tasty but formulaic, it is difficult to make variations on any specific item. When compared to Paradisus in Gran Canaria or Las Salinas in Lanzarote, then Fuertventura has some catching up to do. Please be assured, it is not that it is bad here, it's just the other islands are even better!
