HD Parque Cristobal Gran Canaria

Went here in April for a week . This is a true review . Arrived at reception was met by a little man who stank of alchohol . Checked us in . Didn't tell us much at all . We eventually found our rooms in the dark . First impressions looked OK. Bedtime after travelling all day . Next day after having a good look the rooms weren't as clean as you would like . Marks on sheets on bed lots f marks on doors . Under bed hadn't been cleaned . Rooms well used . Nice enough but needed a good scrub and updating too . Complex was nice not much a supermarket oasis bar,sports bar with no one to serve drinks . Kids pool snack bar . Football pitch and games area with pool tables etc for kids . Restaurant . Pools nice once you were in .no complaints . Nothing much outside hotel unless you walked or got a taxi . Locals very rude and ignorant we thought . Staff in hotel weren't far behind ! . We were all inc . Food cold not cooked properly and repetitive every day . Kids selection was crap ! Meat inedible . Had chicken and prawns which were raw !! Its a wonder noone has been poisoned . Snack bar the same . Cold food lying out all day . Same choice everyday . Cold hotdogs burgers chips squid rings . Not good at all . If u want ice cream at pool you gotta pay for it eventho all inclusive . Entertainment was crap except one night of Michael jackson tribute which was pretty decent . Quiet at night so able to sleep . Beds hard as bricks pillows crap . Very uncomfortable. Cockroaches in bathroom if ypu kept window open any ! . Wouldn't return here if u paid me . Loads of kids running about mad especially in restaurant when your trying to get anything . Restaurant like a cattle market too . Very busy . Breakfast was OK probably the bedt food all day except scrambled eggs which were like soup 🤑

Firstly I was very annoyed, that I got tricked by travel agents, who marked this hotel as 4 star hotel, even though it’s a 3 star hotel. I wasn’t even looking at 3 star hotels and it was coming up as 4 star. Hotel itself was ok. Bungalow was nice and spacious. Everything was very clean. Food was good with some ups and some downs, but never left hungry. Swimming pool area looked rundown, umbrellas and sun loungers seemed faded. Tiles pretty tired. Entertainment team worked hard, every evening was on them. During the day there was lack of music/ vibe at the swimming pool area. It’s just quiet, unless some activity is going on. Evening entertainment finishes at 10pm and nothing is happening after that. We are not early sleepers, so found it pretty boring. During the check in we were told about Italian restaurant, but we were not told, that it is only open on certain days, therefore didn’t get to try… Overall, I would say it’s a good 3 star hotel, but definitely not 4 star. And the price that we have paid was much more than what you usually would pay for a 3 star. It was still a nice holiday, but wouldn’t come back.

I recently stayed at the hotel for 7 days and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very nice always clean and well-maintained which made our stay especially comfortable. The food was also very good with a great variety available every day from sushi to kebabs so there was always something to enjoy. During our stay, there was plenty to do thanks to the amazing animation team. They kept us entertained throughout the day with a mix of fitness and relaxing activities, as well as shows in the evening that we really enjoyed. We would also like to give a special mention to Fabio, who was exceptionally kind and accompanied us during many activities. He truly made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent 10 days here in one of the Emblem rooms. We were in a 2 bedroom bungalow with private garden and hot tub. The whole hotel is made up of little bungalows spread out across some lovely gardens. There are 2 pool areas - a big one next to the reception/restaurant and a collection of smaller ones at the other end of the grounds with slides and tipping buckets. When we first arrived, our room wasn't ready (Emblem rooms have late check outs which is great for your last day, not so great for your last day) and we were told we would be contacted when we could go to it. 3 hours later, we were still waiting and when we asked we were told that it had been ready for a while. We had spent the time hanging about the reception area so there was really very little excuse for this. Management overheard and were very attentive, checking in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was okay. FOOD The main restaurant is Picnic which is at the reception. It's a buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner which was actually pretty good. There's a smaller restaurant next to the kids pool that serves lunch things like hot dogs and burgers. There is also an Italian restaurant and that only opened at the weekend and we weren't able to get a table. The main restaurant is very very busy when it first opens and it can be very overwhelming. The selections were on the whole varied and tasty. There was one day where everything seemed to break (the night before there was a very brief powercut and the next day all of the machines/pool slides were very late on turning on) and the food then was very basic and limited. LOCATION There's a free shuttle bus that takes you from the hotel to the beach. This was excellent. We went with our toddler and had a great time. The beach is lovely with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars around it. Back at the hotel, there isn't a massive amount to do. There's a shop right at the back exit which was very handy and a Spar a short walk away which had a more varied selection. EMBLEM We stayed in one of the Emblem rooms. I had read a lot of reviews stating that they didn't think that it was worth the money. I think that if you didn't have the room that we had, it wouldn't be worth it. With the Emblem rooms you get a fancy sunbed (very comfortable) and with our room type, we also got a large dining table, awnings, and a hot tub. Being able to go back to our own space and relax made this worth the money for us. The pools can get quite busy and noisy and being able to give our toddler a safe space to play outside where we could also relax was fantastic. With the Emblem rooms you get a fancy sunbed (very comfortable) and access to the Emblem resturant which is in the back of the main one. It's smaller and a lot quieter. You can still go into the main one and pick your food but you also have the option of a la carte that changes everyday. The mains for dinner are particularly good. On the last night, I had lamb and couscous which was amazing. The staff in the Emblem restaurant were incredibly helpful and kind. Our toddler had a meltdown and the waitress boxed up our dinner and gave us a bottle of wine to go back to the room with. That was very much appreciated.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Our family had a wonderful stay. It's all spotless and so well maintained. Staff were lovely and rooms were super comfortable. We didn't have all inclusive so can't comment on the food but it all looked great! It's perfectly set up for families.
