Sholeo Lodges Maspalomas

Just returned from a 10 Day stay at Shoelo Lodges Very modern accommodation and facilities breakfast very good and a big shout out for Honey at the bar. Her wonderful personality was enjoyed by everyone at the pool area Suggestion. The hot food area of the breakfast buffet could be improved. When taking the lids of the hot food containers to remove food on to your plate, there is nowhere to place the lid. A hot food container with a hinged lid would solve all this. Apart from that everything else is great

The structure is pretty good, the staff are very nice and kind making a great atmosphere, we had a very good experience overall. The only two points to highlight are that the bathroom doors' style that don't close at all is a little unpleasant and there is no car park, however, in april, we didn't have any problems to park on the street.

This is my 3rd time staying at these lodges, thought I'd come for my birthday week, never really had any complaints, breakfast can be a bit chaotic but for the price ive paid its acceptable, this time I went to manually check in at 2pm, said room wasn't ready until 3pm (fair enough) got allocated my room number so went and seen where abouts it was, cleaners had obviously been in, sat and waited at reception.watched other guests getting checked in after me no problem at all, sat and waited until basically bang on 3pm until I could actually check in..unsure what the problem was, loyalty certainly means nothing at sholeo, sat waiting to check in when my room was clearly ready and reception staff had checked other guests in and then standing chatting, ill see how the next 7nights go but certainly isn't off to a good start this time.

This hotel is centrally located in Playa del Ingles and about a 5-10 min walk from the Yumbo Centrum with plenty of shops nearby. Unfortunately the hotel itself was a bit of a letdown. We stayed on the ground floor and must say there is a complete lack of privacy and had to keep the curtains shut the entire time, this is due to the constant traffic past the rooms. The room itself was rather small and unfortunately we found used plasters stuck by the bed from the previous guests. The room doors are effectively balcony doors that do not have keys but rather a room code. I found this quite frustrating as I had to constantly refer back to an email to enter a code just to get into the room. Rooms are only cleaned once every three days, rubbish isn’t even changed in that time. The bin in the room has dividers so was full after two items. The best part of the room was the shower which was powerful. These rooms also do not have any soundproofing so you can hear EVERYTHING from the neighbouring rooms. Towels are also changed after three days. Pool/beach towels are available at the desk with a deposit of €10 cash only. The hotel grounds have many areas for lounging in the sun, from sun loungers to bean bags and hammocks. The pool was a nice temperature and very clean. There is no pool bar just a vending machine. The bar is located in the main building. We found the prices in the hotel fair. We did not have any meals here as we chose to eat out however the dining area is quite chaotic and poorly thought out. There is no space to move around - this is also the main walkway to all the rooms, the outside area, pool,etc. there are also two televisions and a pool table all crammed into this small space. We attempted to play pool but you can’t even use the cues as the table is too close to the window. The windows have gaps between the glass and when we visited there was a storm so every time it rained the main area of the hotel would have leaks all over the floor. These were soaked up using what appeared to be the pool towels that cost €10. The are some staff at the hotel, two managers that seem to sit in the lobby area on their laptops in blue shirts. There are also other staff in red shirts. The young man and girl with the red hair are very friendly. The rest of the staff get on with their work and are not especially welcoming or friendly to the point of almost being annoyed at the guests and slightly hostile. All in all this felt like more of a self catering hostel than a hotel and for the price paid we were expecting a lot better. Sadly, would not stay here again.

Avoid this hotel! Guests were trapped in a non-stop punk/techno party at 124 BPM from 12 PM to 11 PM. No prior warning, outdated activity info, and zero apology or compensation. Total nightmare for anyone seeking peace.
