SECRETS LANZAROTE RESORT

The most beautiful resort and such welcoming staff! Definitely recommend for a beautiful and relaxing get away, truly made my sisters birthday special. Thank you!!

We had an amazing Honeymoon at Secrets. The staff are excellent, the facilities are room quality and the area is wonderful.

We arrived for a 10 night stay on 15th July in a preferred club double swim up room. It was my husbands birthday on the day we arrived and they left a little cake in the room which was lovely. The food here is fantastic - better than most 5 star hotels in Spain or Turkey. We holiday 4 times a year and this is definitely one of the best. We have holidayed in Mexico in three other secrets hotels and this is very close to that standard. The service here is great. Guest services were very helpful so thanks to Laura who greeted us most mornings. Also Veronica and Carla who dealt with a small incident on our last full day with care and understanding, which made sure our holiday remained a great memorable stay. Drinks are great and I cannot fault this hotel - it has been great and we have rebooked for October. The cleaners were brilliant, the mini bar guy was brilliant, all bar and waiter staff all excellent. Reception and guest services also superb. The preferred club breakfast is superb and we have stayed at lots of à la carte hotels. All the à la cartes were brilliant, so fresh and so much choice and didn’t have to pre book. Only a couple of recommendations I would suggest after travelling so much is that it would be nice if the preferred club bar stayed open longer as it is a nice setting to have a drink before or after dinner especially for preferred club guests- 6pm is early to close and miss the incredible views. Even extend until 8pm? The other is that in most hotels, the preferred club guests normally have a separate area to check in, exclusive for preferred club, but that is so minor - just a small suggestion Anyway - we look forward to our other visit in October To the people who are unsure and looking at the reviews for help to decide - just book it - you will not be disappointed

There’s a reason we’ve been four times…Another great visit to our home in the sun. Seamless check in, fresh drinks and cold towels on arrival - always the perfect start. Friendly and knowledgeable staff at hand to answer any questions or provide recommendations. Room was clean and well-maintained. Double bed is large, as it can be two beds pushed together, which is very comfortable. Improvements have been made to the Bluewater Grill and the space is looking great. A lot of care and attention spent in getting it right. Menus were bigger than they have been, particularly in Portofino. However the standout new dish was the doughnut in Bluewater - delicious! Great atmosphere for the World Cup and it was an excellent choice to set up a big screen in the Piano Bar so that everyone could enjoy the later games together. The staff did very well to accommodate that many people, particularly during the England v Argentina match when the place was packed! Testament to their hard work! Preferred Club is still the way to go for us. The breakfast in Portofino is great and the separate pool area is very relaxing. Will we make a fifth visit? It would be rude not to!

Just returned from a very enjoyable 12-night holiday at Secrets Lanzarote, (despite England losing). We stayed bed & breakfast, in a 'Preferred Club' room, via Jet2 holidays. Jet2 Rep: Steve. Very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Transfer: Due to its location, this hotel is at the end of a 1 hour plus coach journey. Don't endure that, arrange your own taxi. It takes 20 minutes and costs about €25. Reception: Cold towels and a glass of Cava. Efficient registration. Porter to our room. Nothing exceptional about that, but welcome after travelling. Room: Layout as expected from other reviewer photos. Cool with decent air-con. Nice balcony, but chairs not sunbeds! Coffee machine and minibar well stocked, but disaster ..... no bottle opener! Quick call to reception solved in 10 minutes. Bathroom: Clean and with excellent shower, but generally needs refurbishing. Good range of toiletries etc. Bed: Large, comfortable, and quiet! Important in an adults only hotel. Housekeeping: Excellent. Room kept clean, towels and sheets changed, minibar kept stocked, plus plenty of water. Turn-down service with chocolate and 'Philosophy of the day.' Again, nothing exceptional, just people doing their job, and doing it well, with a smile. Outside: Three nice pools, however some of the concrete paths and steps need re-surfacing. Gardens kept beautifully. Part of the 'Preferred Club' pool area was closed for a few days, as they were replacing the sun shades. As mentioned in another review, a man with a Kango hammer spent a couple of days fixing some problem in one of the bars. Poor guy working in that heat! All we had to do was move a bit further away. These kind of things are always there, in places which have no real 'closed season' ongoing maintenance suffers. Restaurants etc: Staying B&B, as we were, we had some very decent dinners in Puerto Calero, but also found the Hotel restaurants generally very good. We were there for 12 nights and had no poor meals at all. The spirits served in the bars appeared to all be branded, and were not ridiculously over-priced. Overall: This hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable holiday, which was what we paid for. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was fine, the sun shone ... This is not The Ritz, (we have been), but within the Canary Islands market, Secrets Lanzarote is a hotel we would return to.
