Route Active Hotel

RUN ! THIEVES IN THIS HOTEL !! While I left my room briefly to get a snack at the hotel, money was stolen directly from my wallet inside the room. Food that I had personally purchased was also taken. I immediately informed the hotel staff, but they told me after verifying the camera that they could not see the room and claimed that only we had accessed the room after checking the access door and left us without any answer and without doing anything neither apologize. I find this response insufficient and concerning. SOMEONE STEALS CLIENTS MONEY/PROPERTY AND THEY COVER IT. After that I saw in the comments that the same thing happened to someone else in April, this is not the first time nor the last, BE CAREFUL! A room should be a safe place while traveling but it is not there, if you plan to stay keep your money on you or the car, it is safer than in this hotel. The cleaning staff see you leaving the rooms in the morning. They know when the room is empty and accessible, and they go inside even when the “Do Not Clean” sign is on the door. Having my money stolen, including even the small coins, along with my travel snacks is unbelievable! Shame on you.

Very good value quiet hotel. Stayed a week for road cycling and very good for that with bike room and tools. Hired a car for a couple of days and parking no problem nearby in Sept if you time it right. Excellent and cheap hourly bus service into Puerto de La Cruz just along the street - end of the 381 line. Breakfast good but dinner probably even better - instead of a vast buffet of average, there was a smaller selection of very tasty dishes. Room spacious and clean, pool top-notch. Only disappointment was no bar (despite a lovely lounge area) or hot drinks after dinner which mean the vary varied clientele may stay and socialise a little. There is a fridge to buy drinks / snacks but not quite the same as a full bar. Would return if in the area again.

It's my first review. First it was necessary to change the room because the view into the wall was not ideal. But at the reception they very quickly managed to find me an amazing room with both pool and ocean views. Thanks Albana so much :-). From that moment on everything was amazing. Breakfast offered many options (fresh fruit, cheese, porridge, vegetables...) and dinner was also very tasty. A gym with a lot of machines and not many people. And it was a short drive everywhere, especially to the amazing hike to Pico del Teide. Thank you again so much to all the hotel staff you were amazing and thanks to you I still have a lot of energy from Tenerife a week after my holiday.

Clean and great breakfast. I loved the cultural books in the reading area. Front staff were awesome! I was a little worried about a WiFi issue. There were two accounts and one asked for some personal info. I then realized it was the wrong one, but I thought it was shady almost like a malicious wifi access point. I asked the front staff and they explained one of them was their old one and not to worry. Just be careful when setting up your wifi. Thought I’d share that because it caused me some anxiety.

The room was extremely clean and the small kitchen had everything you need, except an electrical outlet. If you want to use the kettle or coffee maker you have to place them on the living room floor because kitchen's only plug is on a awkward place. We knew that there wouldn't be AC on the room, but because bedroom's window opened into a hallway the air in the room was musty and way too hot (even when using a fan provided by the hotel). As a light sleepers we were happy to find out that on the evenings and nights there was hardly any noise coming from outside or nearby rooms. The breakfast was pretty good and could be even better if they served something else besides the instant Nescafe. The location of the hotel is great If you're looking for a peaceful holiday but be prepared to hire a car or use money on a taxi, because everything is a small hike away.
