Dean’s Home Budapest

Mid 50's couple stayed 3 nights. I had a few concerns about students and what usually comes with them and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were very clean and had zero issue with noise. Great size with plenty of storage space. Very convenient for metro and we were able to navigate the public transport to get around quickly. Lots of places to eat and shop around the hotel. Well worth a visit

Billed as a superior twin room the facilities were most basic with no tv, phone or daily maid service. To my surprise the room had two cooking hobs but no ventilation. The room was obviously intended as self catering accommodation for students at the nearby University. There was also a large white board on one wall which confirmed my suspicions . Following a complaint to Jet 2 they denied that it was a Hostel and refused any compensation. The place isn’t too bad but the description by Jet 2 is at best misleading.

My partner booked our 3 night stay here based on the location. Literally a stones throw from metro line M3 it was convenient for both getting to the inner city and also getting to and from the airport. Our board was bed and breakfast, the breakfast buffet offered a good selection of hot and cold foods and drinks. The staff were all helpful and spoke good English. The reason for only 4 stars is 2 fold, firstly there were not enough pillows (one per person and not thick enough), secondly the first morning there was no hot water to shower however when we returned in the evening the hot water was plentiful

This hotel is in a good location, close to the metro station but as it’s the student district lots of the places to eat that are mentioned on the website are closed at the weekend. The spar next door is quite handy. And the room has plates and bowls which came in use due to not having much choice around the hotel for food. Breakfast we found was okay especially given what we paid but small tweaks like cold milk for cereal or the hot plates keeping food warm would make this much better. Our room wasn’t overly clean and needed a good dust and a mop. The room is not cleaned whilst you’re there unless you do over 4 nights and you have to pay if you want it cleaned or new towels. It was also 25.5 degrees with the radiator blasting. We did report this and someone came and fixed it but the room never got below 22 degrees even with the window open. If we did open the window we had cigarette smoke come billowing in as we were above one of the entrance ways and lots of people smoked directly outside. We chose not to drink the tap water and glad we didn’t as on our last day a small bug came out the tap. For what we paid it was an okay stay but things like cleanliness need addressing and it was something I had high expectations of given the reviews.

Back yesterday from Deans Home (8th nov '25). Really pleased with the acommodation. It is clean, warm and comfortable, slept really well. Nice modern room with great shower. Lication is excellent, 2 minutes from the excellent Metro station, you will be in the city in minutes. Very quiet at night, never heard a thing, and staff helpful and friendly. Would definately stay here again.
