Dean’s Home Budapest

We stayed at Dean's Home Budapest for 7 days. We found it very good value for a week's accommodation. It was a short walk from Semmelweis Klinikák on the M3 line. There is a Spar supermarket immediately opposite which, again, is very convenient and we shopped there every day. Buffet breakfast is available though we mostly self-catered. There is a laundry on the lower floor, a rooftop terrace and a gym. You can arrange to pay to visit a pool. The hotel had spacious inside and outside common area seating and was never crowded. Everything was clean and well maintained. Reception is manned 24 hours and we had no difficulty checking in when we arrived after 11 pm on a Sunday night. The rooms, I think, were converted student housing and are not only spacious but have comfortable beds, multiple desks, clothes storage, air conditioning, clean bathrooms and showers. They also a large balcony, microwave, stove top, sink, crockery and cutlery (though you need to ask reception for cooking utensils) and bar fridge. They are upfront about the room service being only every four days though the exact timing can vary. Staying a week we did need to ask the cleaning staff or reception for rubbish bags, toilet paper and towels. The bathroom door that also closed off the kitchenette did tend to get off its rails but it was only a minor inconvenience. Air conditioning was good. Wifi was very good. I quite liked the "red" power point that stayed on even when your key was removed from the room and which allowed electronic devices to charge.

Consistently great I don’t get out much as wheelchair bound but I love when well enough to go to the meat locker Used to go before my stroke some 6 years ago but the consistency of the food remains the same. I love their lunch and early bird menu as appetite not what it used to be so it suits me perfectly. I love their non alcoholic cuvee lovely also their negroni Their salad starter out of this world as is their steak husband always has the fish which I don’t like but yes their steak great but their onion rings tummies Was there yesterday and waiting staff so Pleasent not at all intrusive they certainly keep an eye on us. Their service great We have already booked for October can’t wait If you have not been you are missing out oh yes their wine is lovely too

We booked last minute for a short trip. It was top value for money, the room was clean and well equipped. There is a nice common area at the reception. Receptionist Tamás was super friendly and helpful and made our stay memorable!

Absolutely unacceptable hotel service I have never experienced such a ridiculous hotel policy. This hotel apparently thinks it is acceptable to only provide clean towels every four days unless you pay an extra €1.50 per towel. Yes, you read that correctly — if you want a clean towel, you have to pay for it. Charging guests extra for something as basic as a clean towel is completely unacceptable. Hygiene should be a standard part of staying at a hotel, not an optional extra that guests have to pay for. I am extremely disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend staying here. The attitude toward basic cleanliness and customer service is honestly shocking. A hotel should provide clean towels when guests need them — not make them wait four days or charge extra for basic hygien
