Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru

Since my last Maldives review, which was 6 (Maldives) trips ago, I am the fist to admit to getting older makes you a bit more spoiled.. The Four Seasons sunset pool villas must be the absolute pinnacle of luxury you can expect from such a brand. This paired with the fact that all level of staff did their utmost to accommodate us for our honeymoon. If you are into diving, this location also happens to be within the national reservoir including the largest Manta population around. Therefore, diving is a must, and specially at this location. If you don't dive, they even give you a "Manta Nokia mobile" for short notice alerts towards snorklers to see them as well. This is a natural island, plenty of vegetation as it originally was a coconut plantation. The extensive spa includes all the variations of yoga and treatments in general. Only possible tip of improvement would be to list all the activities and dinner reservations etc on each guests' personal chat group for the week. We are very impressed by the attention to all details and the cleaningness of the villa, as well as the genuine community among the staff. We will be back!!

Sometimes a few words are enough: this is a very unique place and simply an excellent resort! Meanwhile there are quite a lot of luxurious resorts in the Maldives and everyone we visited so far was great (O&O, Waldorf, Jumeirah, Como and others). But the Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru was our best Maldives experience in more than 20 years. We definitely will go back. It’s like a holiday paradise! The spacious villas are top notch and seem newly renovated, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere on the island is really relaxed (not the case in all luxurious resorts). Great dive base and my best diving in the Maldives so far (tons of Manta and we also saw whale sharks twice). Great spa. Excellent food (Blu and our favorite Fuego). If there’s one thing to criticize, it’s the breakfast buffet. At least for our European palates, the variety and quality of the breakfast buffet were not on par with those of comparable resorts, but still very good. And perhaps one last tiny point: The teppanyaki probably has more potential. But these are really minor points. Thanks to all for an unforgettable holiday!

We just had the most incredible stay at Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru. From the moment we arrived, the service was VVIP — warm and attentive We stayed in a 1600㎡ villa and it was absolutely stunning. 4 bedrooms, private pool, direct private beach access, and views that you never get tired of. The cleanliness, the food, the spa, the activities... everything was world-class. 3 days of ultimate luxury, and we left feeling so happy and recharged. It is the most luxurious 3 days of my life so far. A huge thank you to the entire Four Seasons team, especially Ayya and Farey for making this an unforgettable experience. We will treasure these memories with family forever.

Such a beautiful property that offers so much. From the moment we landed at the Male airport to getting to the island, it was such a smooth process. The rooms were spacious, clean, with so many amenities. The service and attentiveness of the Four Seasons staffs was outstanding. Always going above and beyond expectations. Loved every moment of our vacation.

We could not have had a better holiday. We were last here in 2018 and this time, we stayed at the 2 bedroom sunset overwater villa which was very comfortable and we felt very at home. The villa had a new Daikin aircon in every room, including the bathrooms. It was amazing that somewhere as remote as this resort had such efficient and perfectly working aircon, compared to a 5 star hotel I had stayed in Seoul that had aircon that could not be set below 23 degrees celsius. It is just one example, out of many, of the significant resources/efforts devoted by Four Seasons to ensure that its guests have the most comfortable stay. My daughter was very happy with her dive instructor, Areej, who guided her through her PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses. Anow and Mode at the dive centre were always helpful and the centre was well equipped and well staffed. We would also like to thank Jerry from Recreation who arranged the shark snorkel safari for us and the experience of swimming with sharks is one I will never forget. As we stayed longer this time, we got to experience more of the activities offered by the resort, including daily private tennis lessons with Andrea, who is the best tennis coach my Dad ever had. There are also plenty of wide ranging complimentary activities which kept us busy. We would like to thank Ms Saru for being so patient and encouraging with my elderly parents who were doing aqua yoga for the first time. Aqua float, which involves balancing on a SUP board whie practising yoga, was taught by the kind gentleman from Bali (whose name I forgot, apologies) and he made it a fun experience. We also had a consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor, Dr Shyma (apologies if incorrect spelling), who could diagnose our health issues by examining our tongues(!) and advised us on the appropriate plant and herbal remedies. Extra activities were arranged for International Yoga Day and I especially enjoyed the Yoga Nidra session conducted by Dr Jayan. Mr Francisco Negrão, the director, was always responsive to our needs and requests. He would regularly check in with us to see if we needed anything. Our heartfelt thanks to Francisco for ensuring that our stay was perfect. There are too many staff to thank but every interaction with staff members at every level felt genuine, friendly, helpful and efficient. The whatsap number to guest relations was very useful and the staff always replied promptly. Special thanks to Ms Kiki who arranged for the chef to specially prepare laksa for our breakfast, which was delicious; Mr Munat at Blu who remembered my breakfast order and would remind me if I omitted anything from my usual order; and Mr Felix who would always make sure we had everything we needed at Cafe Landaa. The housekeeping/in villa dining staff were super efficient and arranged for our fruit bowl in the villa to be topped up every day and delivered complimentary cocktails and canapes to our villa every evening. The transfer between Male airport and the resort is seamless. From the Four Seasons staff who met us in arrivals and took us in a comfortable 7 seater to the Four Seasons lounge to await the resort's own seaplane, at every step, we were delighted with the Four Seasons' exemplary service.
