Reethi Faru Resort

Just returned from our fourth visit and another great time at Reethi Faru. We weren’t happy with our first beach villa as access to the beach was restricted by sand bags but after one night we moved to villa 352 which was a lot better with direct access to the sea and reef. We went on fully inclusive dine around and wasn’t disappointed the food and drinks were great. We did the behind the scenes technical tour which we found really interesting also the Dolphin safari and were very excited to see so many. The staff are really good and a special shout out to our room boy Mizam, waiter Satheesh pool bar staff Nazeer and Ifham. Roberta from reception was also great you always heard her before you see her. 😘

Just returned from 9 magical nights on this amazing island. From the moment you arrive by seaplane transfer which took about 40 minutes, you are greeted by the staff on the jetty then walked up to reception for a quick & smooth check welcomed with a cooling drink & a couple of staff playing Maldivian drums lovely touch.We were shown to our water villa 527 which was just wow we were blown away by the bed decoration & flowers for my wife’s 60th birthday.We had the fine around option which was perfect for us so had breakfast in the buffet restaurant so much choice & great quality. All the food we had in the evenings was outstanding quality with so many flavours & spices great chefs they all come around to make sure your food is all ok. We had drinks in all the bars all very good service the Haruge was nice just after 5 for a couple of Faru classics yum yum, our nearest & favourite was sunset bar. There is a gym which we used every morning opens at 6 has all the basic things in & done the job nice view out to swimming pool & Indian Ocean. Even though the island was full you never ever see anyone it was such a peaceful & relaxing island nice to hear the fruit bats in evening. All the staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble for them & Thank you once again for making our holiday something special 👍🩵

This was our second time visiting Reethi Faru, which in itself tells you how highly we rate it. From the staff to the reef, it’s sublime. Snorkelling is a delight, and you’ll see eagle rays, sting rays, turtles, sharks of all ages, octopus, parrotfish, angel fish…..the list is endless. It’s also the only island we’ve visited where you can fully circumnavigate the whole island whilst walking in the water. The reef can be as little as 10 feet from shore, to 50 feet. So it’s perfect - you get excellent lagoon access, and amazing snorkelling experiences. We love the variety of food served in Vakura, and I always tried the Maldivian cuisine. Staff are so friendly and helpful - shout out to Anish in Vakura. We’ve stayed in an overwater villa both times, and actually prefer the sunrise side, as we got the sun pretty much all day. Our 1 piece of slightly negative feedback relates to the gym. The equipment is old and dated, particularly the cardio equipment. It wouldn’t cost much to invest in a few new machines, and add more weight training equipment. More and more people are focusing on their fitness, and every day we were there, it was busy, so perhaps it’s time to refresh the gym. Other than that, we love the place and will definitely return.

It was our first visit to Maldives and we very happy that we were on Reethi Faru Resort. The island is very beautiful and green. The nature and underwater world are magical. We saw dolphins, turtles, sharks, rays right from the shore, and the snorkeling on the house reef is very impressive, with a huge number of colorful fish. Our favorite restaurant was Diavaru. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Your pre-meal buns were simply divine. We stayed in a villa with a pool overlooking the sunset, room 416. The only thing that spoiled the view a bit were the sandbags. Otherwise, the vacation was fantastic; it's the most beautiful place we've ever been.

This was my 4th stay at the resort, and overall we still truly enjoy the island, the atmosphere, and the friendliness of the staff. It’s a wonderful place to relax, which is why we keep coming back. That said, after visiting multiple times, I feel a few important issues have still not been improved, and they do affect the comfort of the stay: 1. Internet quality remains very weak. During peak hours the speed drops to around 500 KB/s, and the maximum I’ve seen is about 5 Mbps. As a business traveler, I often need stable internet for video calls and work, and unfortunately mobile signal inside the villa is also weak (no reliable LTE), so this becomes inconvenient. 2. The villas would benefit from renovation. Some areas look worn and a refresh would help the rooms match the overall level of the resort. 3. Medical support could be improved. When I needed a basic medication for digestive issues, it wasn’t available, and the alternative offered felt overpriced (around $7 for something simple). Other than these points, we have no major complaints. If the resort improves the internet, renovates the villas, and also manages villa requests better (we requested our preferred villa 4 months in advance), then we would happily consider returning for a 5th visit and will continue recommending the resort to friends.
