Booked via Travelbag in the UK, flights with Qatar Airways. Worldwide traveller with over 40 years of experience and over 14 trips to the Maldives. Reception: Excellent greeting on arrival with drums, drinks and a fresh towel. Check is was really quick and after a short wait, it was off to our villa. Generally, the staff seemed quite helpful, depending on who you spoke to, as some of them seemed a little overwhelmed, depending on the question you asked. The check out information is very vague and you have to find out for yourself right at the end of your stay. It was a bonus that we were allowed to keep the room on for an extra couple of hours on the last day. We didn't like the fact that they over reinforce that your AI stops dead at 12. Accommodation: We were allocated a room in the 300s which was perfect. The rooms are a good size, a comfortable bed and a really good open air bathroom. The decking was a good size with chairs leading out to sunbeds on the beach. The bonus of this location was the beach didn't have much footfall which made it feel more private than other locations. Room was kep super clean! Island Surrounds: Reethi is very lush with lots of trees and plants. Lots of wildlife make this their home which adds to the excellent surroundings. The beach was kept very clean. Restaurants and Bars: If you have the opportunity to add the "Dine Around" package then do it! This gives you the ability to eat in the Al a Carte restaurants. The food in these restaurants is the best we have had in 20 years of Maldives visits. It's excellent quality and quantity and the Chef's clearly take pride in their work. We only had breakfast a couple of times in the Buffet restaurant, and this was fairly average. The main bar was good and the bar staff were welcoming and nice to chat to. The outdoor seat cushions need to be cleaned, they were quite disgusting. This was confirmed after watching a very overweight man wearing swimming trunks fall asleep sweating all over the cushions, yuk. We did use some of the small beach bars but found the bar staff a little unwelcoming. It seemed to be a case of put your drink together and then go back to their phone to scroll tik tok. We didn't like the idea of sitting in deck chairs either as this was the only type of seating. Again, after people have sat on them in their swim wear sweating. Staff: The ladies who swept the island were wonderful. Always super busy and always with a smile and a hello on passing. Bar staff in the main bar were great however they were let down a little by the beach bar staff who didn't seemed interested and spent more time on their phones. Waiters were great and willing to chat which we like. Chef's came to see how your meal was regularly and we liked that as they were always willing to tweak dishes to your liking to improve them where they could. A few shout outs and apologies if we don't have the names 100% correct. Suresh in Reeth Grill. A really lovely guy with a good sense of humour and always with a smile. Farid - Our wonderful and happy room guy. Such a lovely chap who was always smiling and willing to help where he could. Metal and Riaz in Dhiyavaru. Lovely chaps that were always attentive, chatty and with a smile. Suresth and Riaz!, some of the best guest facing staff on the island, a credit to the resort! Summary: Reeth Faru is a great medium sized all inclusive island resort. Staff generally are good and seem to be happy in their work. There is most definitely a small insect problem as not that much is done to combat this. Take plenty of repelant, you will need it! Would we return? Most certainly we would!

The resort was incredible. We stayed in a deluxe beach villa for part of the holiday and a water villa for the rest and both were wonderful, each with unique aspects. The house reef offered a brilliant snorkeling experience with turtles, sharks and rays right in front of our villas. We also went on a few of the excursions offered by the water sports and dive centres, which were very fun and extremely well run. The staff at the resort were all fantastic, incredibly professional, friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay magical. Chef Rajesh and his team created speciality vegan dishes for us everyday, going above and beyond to ensure there were plenty of options available for us even though there were already plenty of delicious vegan dishes available in the buffet. The food was phenomenal, thoughtfully created and beautifully presented. We can't recommend Reethi Faru enough!

We have just returned home from our second visit to the island and had another amazing trip. The island is both small and big enough for what we want. Beautiful, quiet, and largely natural in appearance. Very well maintained, and a great attention to detail. We also appreciate the ecologically conscious thinking of the resort. Impressive as it does not affect or limit any significant aspect of a luxury holiday. Great reef all around; just snorkeling off the beaches we saw loads of beautiful fish, rays, turtles, small reef sharks, and even an octopus. The food is an important factor for us, and across the board we would say that the high standards we found before have increased further. The chefs in the main restaurant (and all restaurants) are always engaging and genuinely seem passionate about what they are producing. We would also like to mention the waiting staff in the main restaurant. Our Keralan server could not have done any more to make us feel welcome and looked after. He even found out that my wife likes to eat dosa for breakfast, and on three occasions took the unprompted initiative to ask the chefs to make her one especially. Not just him though, all of the staff are a credit to the resort. From the reception team to the room cleaners, also the resort guys at Male airport made things very easy when arriving and departing. We were on All Inclusive Dine Around, so spent most nights eating in the smaller restaurants. Our favourite place on the island is the Reethi Grill. Our waiter, Jani, who we made friends with on our first visit instantly recognised us and again treated us like valued guests. From polite and engaging service, excellent knowledge of the menu, to teaching us Bengali, he is a real gem. Also, Sumesh, the Senior Chef de Partie, whose food is truly delicious. We live in South London within a very large South Asian community, so curry is extremely familiar to us. I would say that the curry in that restaurant (even though it is tempered to a weak European palate!) is right up there, and Sumesh was happy to mix it up, make suggestions and add more spice.

We visited Reethi Faru resort for 12 nights from 10th May 2025. Stunning island, really quite small and just what we wanted for our private over water villa experience. We booked the full dine around package meaning we were able to visit all of the restaurants onsite, this was good as the food away from the 'standard' Vakaru canteen area was far superior, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. We were a little surprised to find that 'premium' drinks had to be payed for - Reethi Faru operates a Blue and Black scheme where Blue menu items are included but Black is payable.....spoilt it a bit for us as it narrowed the selection but the bar staff around the island made up for it by preparing us impromptu cocktails!!! Standard of the water villa was ok, a little tired in places including peeling wood laminates and stained bedside lampshades. The killer for us was that 3 days before we were due to leave the management decided to start and refurbish our neighboring water villa. This began with banging and hammering, which I had to report to reception after enduring for over an hour, to full on dismantling of the privacy panels on the water villa sun deck, leaving ourselves on full view to the building maintenance team. This team also proceeded to rip up the sun deck floor and left ourselves with a view that simply resembled a building site. Needless to say we were horrified, reported to the Kuoni representative who in turn submitted an official complaint to the island manager. Customer care person came to us and offered a 'signature dish' meal in the restaurants we already had access to plus a fruit bowl delivered to our villa - we were insulted, what a joke. Second offer of compensation was a reduction on our room bill, as we'd also chosen to partake in a private dining experience offered by the resort amongst a number of other purchases and excursions, however no monetary value was agreed as we subsequently declined. We're now awaiting the outcome of our own official complaint through Kuoni....one point to note, the Kuoni representative based in Male actually met us at the airport on our departure even though it was her official day off to apologise about our experience as she felt it was so serious, we thanked her for her commitment, wish we could have had the same customer experience from Reethi Faru resort.
