SO/ Maldives

As a resort SO/ is incredible. This was my first time to the Maldives and it was magnificent. The staff, the organisation, attention to detail to accommodate all requests was amazing. A huge mention to our Butler/Point of contact Wifag. Everyday he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was 10/10. He made our stay so seamless and easy. I highly recommend SO/ Maldives my only advice would be to book the water villa not the lagoon because the view is much nicer. The resort is around 15/20mins speed boat from male so it’s still visible from some parts of the island. If you want that exclusive feeling book the water villa it won’t disappoint.

Our stay at SO/ Maldives was nothing short of unforgettable, and truly the perfect setting for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt effortlessly luxurious yet relaxed—modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed without ever feeling overdone. The views were absolutely breathtaking in every direction. Crystal-clear turquoise water, soft white sand, and endless ocean horizons created a dreamlike backdrop that never got old, whether we were waking up in the morning or watching the sunset in the evening. One of the most magical parts of our stay was the marine life—we could see fish everywhere, right from our villa and throughout the resort. The water was so clear that it felt like looking into an aquarium, with colorful fish constantly swimming by. It added such a unique and peaceful element to the experience and made every moment by the water feel even more special. Our villa was stunning—beautifully designed with a contemporary aesthetic that still felt warm and inviting. The indoor-outdoor flow made it feel incredibly spacious, and having direct access to the ocean made every moment feel special. We especially loved the private pool and deck area, which gave us the perfect mix of privacy and scenery. Noise level is very low. It truly felt like our own little paradise. The attention to detail in the room—from the layout to the amenities—made everything feel elevated and comfortable at the same time. Cleanliness throughout the resort was impeccable. Housekeeping was consistent and thorough, and everything always felt fresh and well-maintained without being intrusive. It added to the overall sense of ease and relaxation knowing everything was taken care of so seamlessly. The location was ideal—close enough for convenience but still feeling completely secluded and peaceful. It struck a perfect balance between accessibility and that “escape from everything” feeling you want on a honeymoon. There was also a great variety of activities available, whether we wanted to stay active or just unwind. From water activities to relaxing by the beach or pool, there was always something to do without ever feeling pressured to fill the day. That flexibility made it easy to truly enjoy the experience at our own pace. A special thank you to our GEM, Wifag, who truly made our stay extra special. He assisted us with everything so seamlessly and made the entire experience feel effortless. From helping coordinate details to ensuring we were always taken care of, his attentiveness and warmth made a lasting impression and elevated our honeymoon even more. We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to the incredible wait staff—Luna, Claire, and Araily—who consistently went above and beyond for us. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made every dining experience feel personal and memorable. They truly made us feel so welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. What stood out the most was the overall vibe of the resort—it felt chic and modern, yet still intimate and romantic. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel special throughout our stay. Every interaction felt personal and thoughtful, which made a big difference. SO/ Maldives exceeded our expectations in every way. It was the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and romance, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate such a special time in our lives. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, elevated island experience.

Upon arriving at the island, I immediately knew we’d made an excellent choice. The entire staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and our butler, Levi Wang, was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. She took great care of everything, whether it was arranging transportation, booking meals, or giving helpful tips during check-in. So Island truly lives up to its nickname as the "Piggy Paradise Island". Every meal was absolutely delicious. The lagoon and the sunset scenery are breathtakingly beautiful as well. I would highly recommend this island to all my friends, and I sincerely hope I can come back to So Island for another wonderful stay in the future.
