SO/ Maldives

We had a fantastic stay at SO/ Maldives and would highly recommend! Thank you to the incredible staff for making our trip so memorable. We especially want to thank Wifag, our experience lead, for making our stay seamless and enjoyable. Everything from making dinner reservations, excursions, and housekeeping was handled with care and attention. We also want to thank the dining staff at SO/. Everything from hosting, to wait staff, and to the chefs…top notch. We especially enjoyed the experience at Citronelle by lead Indonesian Chef for all the food…it was one of the highlights of our trip. My stay at SO/ Maldives totally exceeded all expectations, absolutely a top-rated resort worth every penny! We took a quick speedboat transfer from Male airport with no tedious seaplane ride, which saved lots of travel trouble. I stayed in an overwater pool villa featuring trendy, avant-garde interior design. The private infinity pool and iconic hanging net bed lead straight down to crystal-clear Emboodhoo Lagoon, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame spectacular sunrise and sunset ocean views all day long. The island is immaculately maintained with powdery white sand. Rich coral reefs surround the resort, so we spotted colorful fish and stingrays easily during casual snorkeling. Multiple on-site restaurants serve fantastic Mediterranean, Levantine and international cuisines with lavish breakfast spreads. Lazuli Beach Club is ideal for evening cocktails with live music and ocean breeze. All staff members deliver warm, thoughtful personalized service. Wonderful amenities including premium spa, ocean-view fitness center and varied excursions like sunset dolphin cruise are available for guests. Blending chic artistic vibe with relaxing tropical getaway and great privacy, this resort suits couples on honeymoon and family vacations perfectly. I will definitely revisit and highly recommend SO/ Maldives to all Maldives travelers!

This is my third vacation in the Maldives, and So Island truly stands out with its delicate layout and peaceful private atmosphere compared with other resorts I’ve visited before. We were assigned a Chinese-speaking butler Levi for the entire stay. He took care of our check-in transfer, daily activity arrangement and all sorts of on-island requests with meticulous and all-round service, greatly saving us from communication troubles. There are three unique restaurants across the island, all running on an à la carte system instead of buffet. Every dish comes with hearty portions and impressive tastes made from fresh ingredients covering diverse cuisines. The main restaurant is definitely my top pick, featuring elaborately presented fine food and an elegant dining setting. I also want to express sincere gratitude to Claire working at the main restaurant; her fluent Chinese assistance made our dining experience far more pleasant and hassle-free during the whole trip.
