SO/ Maldives

Our butler ahsan in the Maldives has been absolutely amazing! He is incredibly attentive and thoughtful, paying close attention to every little detail to make our stay perfect. His service is meticulous and heartfelt—we truly felt well taken care of from the moment we arrived. We love him so much and can’t recommend him enough! He made our dream vacation even more special.

I had a wonderful vacation on So Island, and I am particularly grateful to my butler Arshad, who took very good care of us and provided us with a lot of assistance. The other people on the island were also very friendly, and the restaurant's cuisine was excellent. I really love this island and I'll come back here someday!

Our stay at SO/ Maldives was nothing short of amazing. The great experience started right at Velana Airport; the staff member who picked us up was incredibly warm and welcoming, instantly shifting us into vacation mode. The resort itself is beautifully laid out with a fantastic, relaxing vibe. Every staff member we encountered was so polite and always made a point to greet us with a smile. We also really appreciated that all the menus had Chinese versions—it’s a very thoughtful touch for Chinese guests. The cocktails were absolutely fantastic! As for the food, even though the flavor profiles aren't exactly tailored to a traditional Chinese palate, most of the dishes were still delicious, and you could genuinely feel the care and effort the culinary team put into making them. Another huge highlight was the spa service, which was truly impressive and relaxing. I have to give a special, heartfelt shoutout to our host, Arshad. He was genuinely phenomenal—always attentive, incredibly helpful, and just made everything about our stay so seamless and effortless. He truly elevated our whole experience. If I had to mention one tiny regret, it would be the marine life. The snorkeling was a bit underwhelming, as we barely saw any fish around the island. Despite that small detail, it was an unforgettable getaway, and we couldn't be happier with the amazing hospitality we received!

Ahsan was our GEM = Guest Experience Maker - and he truly made our short break at SO/Maldives memorable. Professional and readily accessible, with an excellent sense of humour, he was the best representative of the resort. In addition, Ahsan had thoughtfully selected the most conveniently located villa, which meant it was easier for my mother to get to and from the restaurants via buggy. Spectacular scenery, wonderful weather and all enhanced by the fantastic food served.

We had an amazing stay at SO/ Maldives. A big thank you to Vishan for all your support throughout, your communication was excellent and you made everything smooth and stress free. The whole team were welcoming from arrival to departure, with special thanks to Ashraf for assisting us right to the airport counter. The villa was the highlight. Modern, spotless and beautifully designed, with stunning lagoon views and total privacy. It felt luxurious yet relaxing, the perfect escape. The only downside was that the private pool wasn’t heated, and this wasn’t mentioned anywhere. Overall, a beautiful resort with exceptional villas and service.
