    We chose SO/ Maldives for our honeymoon, and honestly, it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, the energy of this place was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced, the stunning overwater villas, the crystal-clear lagoon, the design, the food, all of it was absolutely world-class. But what truly set this trip apart was the people. The staff here aren’t just doing a job, they genuinely care about making your stay unforgettable, and it shows in every single interaction. The service is sharp, warm, and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Every request was met with a smile and handled flawlessly. Now, we have to talk about Ana, our GEM (Guest Experience Maker), because she deserves her own paragraph. Ana was absolutely phenomenal. She took all the stress out of planning and made sure every day of our honeymoon was seamless and special. She organized our dinners, lined up excursions, booked activities, and somehow always knew exactly what we needed before we even asked. She handled everything with such grace, efficiency, and genuine warmth that we felt less like guests and more like VIPs the entire time. If you’re heading to SO/ Maldives for a honeymoon, anniversary, or any special occasion, you’ll be truly lucky if Ana is your GEM. She is a superstar and a huge part of why this trip was the best of our lives. SO/ Maldives, we’ll be back. Thank you for making our honeymoon absolutely perfect. 🌊🤍

    As an ex hospitality worker with 15 years experience working for company such as Four Seasons,Ritz Carlton n IHG, I have expectations of what excellent service like. I also being fair and honest. We have mixed feeling about our stay. Overall We enjoyed our stay of 9 nights at So Maldives. The reason what I am giving 3 stars is because I think there are improvement needed. Improvement needed: Reservation Team - It did not start well with the reservation team. I sent an email on 27/02 asking about the transfer, I did not get a reply. On 01/03 I sent messages via Insta, Google, and a follow up email. Then Wifaag replied. I asked further question on 05/03 again no reply. On 17/03 I then called from overseas spoke with Athar. I requested for him to email me once the transfer finalised one day before check in. He said yes but I did not get any email about the transfer ( he emailed Amber beach hotel at Male). Spa booking ( communication with sales/reservation). - My package include daily 60 min spa. I think the spa was not aware and did not have appropriate staff maybe the sales/reservation team need to inform them in advance. When we check in they were not able to book us for couple of days due to availability. This issue later was resolved but I had to raise with with my Gem and with some adjustment. It did not need to be this way they should be aware and ready for the inclusion that we already paid in advance. - Cheap Sparkling wine inclusion I paid over $17000 package (via a Travel Agent) including a bottle of sparkling wine ( which i left un opened and did not consume it). The wine they gave us : Jaume Serra Gold Label Cava Brut price around $21. I stayed at other properties eg: Pullman Eiffel Tower for shorter (4 Nights) and cheaper, they gave us a bottle of Moet Chandon Now the positive: The best experience were the front-line staff. Especially my Gem: Anna. She was fabulous, worked hard and ready to answer any queries. I think she deserve recognition for her dedication to her guest. She also the one who worked hard behind the scene to resolve my Spa booking issues. Also special recognition to Luna and Chef Robby from Citronelle. They made our dining experience extra special. Rooms: Very Specious, lux and stylish. Spa: Great facilities ( Steam, Sauna and hidden pool), great therapists. Citronelle: again great staff ( especially Luna and Chef Robby), great food. Hadaba: The best Middle Easter food. Great staff ( Manager goes around to guest to check satisfaction). Lazuli: Great cafe food. Staff are ok, need to smile and more welcoming ( especially after you received a great service from Citronelle).
