We flew over with Maldivian air. It was a direct flight, a little uncomfortable but happy to have the flight done . We arrived in the morning and were able to go straight to the awaiting boat transfer to take us to our hotel. We stayed at SO/ resort which is 20 minutes away from the airport. I had realised I’d forgotten my asthma inhaler and the young man that collected us from the airport was only too happy to take me the pharmacist at the airport. I got what I needed and we were able to join the others on the boat to the hotel. Upon arrival at SO/ resort we were greeted by Maria our concierge and gratefully accepted our early check in which was in our package subject to availability. Maria has been our go to for any questions or to organise anything while we have been at the resort. Thank you Maria. You’ve only been a WhatsApp message away and we really appreciated your attentiveness. We cannot fault anybody in this whole resort. Thank you to the wait staff and the staff in the restaurants. The three restaurants that they have at the resort are all amazing and they were only too happy to accommodate for my fussy eating needs. I really appreciate their accommodations. My husband really loved all the Middle Eastern flavours and the fresh seafood. Thank you to the spa staff. I had two massages and was very happy both. Every time I smell Jasmine from now on, I’ll think of those massages! Thank you to the doctor and the nurse at the clinic. We had a rash and a broken toe attended to thank you. Thank you also to all of the staff that drove the buggies to and from our rooms/restaurants/beach. We loved the resort entertainment. The DJ had some great sets and had me up dancing to some of my old faves remixed with some Island flair. The culture show was exciting. Stilt walking, cultural dancing and fire show -they had it all. Thank you for the water aerobics. I had great fun. The island is so well maintained and cared for. Gardens of manicured sand are raked. Everything looks pristine all the time. I really appreciated the resorts efforts to minimise mosquitoes inhabiting the resort. I normally get eaten alive but did not get bitten once. The watersport team were fabulous too, lots of activities for us to choose during the day at the beach and also tours that we were able to purchase. We particularly enjoyed the coral reef snorkelling and the turtle snorkelling. The staff were knowledgeable and really encouraging. I almost chickened out but with their encouragement I went in and didn’t miss out on a wonderful experience. We came during the wet season however it only rained for brief periods each day and still remained 28°. So you still got many opportunities to go for a swim and enjoy beach life in between the rain. Our sunset cruise was cancelled on our last night due to weather. A nice tropical storm enjoyed in our bed through the window of our room instead. We would recommend that if you can that you come to the Maldives. Pure beauty.

Ana is a warm, genuine host who makes guests feel instantly welcome. Exceptionally attentive service, she coordinated transfers, offered perfect local tips, and anticipated our needs. Conveniently located a short ride from airport to our luxury over water villa with private pool and access to the crystal clear waters. The all inclusive package was great value with plenty of choices. The food and drinks were of the highest syandard. A very friendly atmosphere with very attentive staff. The room was very spacoius and extremely clean. Customer service was above expectations. They book and look after every need. Limar our guest experience maker was excellent. Very intuitive to our needs. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing enjoyable stay. Jen and Don
