The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives

We stayed at the Standard for 8 nights and our experience there was one of a kind and beyond expectations. The customer service was outstanding, all the staff were so welcoming, friendly and would go above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The location itself was beautiful, and there were lots of fun activities to do so it was easy to make the most out of our holiday! Swimming with the sea turtles is an experience we will never forget. The only minor negative we had was a couple of the restaurants we ate at served very small portions but still quite expensive. However other than this we have only positive things to say! Incredibly thankful to Shamauu, Manoff and Youssef who were very kind and helpful to us, and went out of their way to make our holiday a memorable one. We are very pleased with our experience at this resort ☺️

I rated 'Customer Service' a 10 because everything was so amazing.  Each employee just bent over backwards to see that anything needed was taken care of.  We especially enjoyed the wall in the unit supplied with tube, snorkel gear and snorkel bag.  It was so nice to just have that part of the unit instead of having to go to the dive shop to get it.  Of course the actual snorkeling was a highlight of the experience.  Plus the chocolate croissants at breakfast were incredible.  Last year we went to the Park Hyatt in Paris, a VERY high end hotel.  Plus it is in PARIS!!!!!!!! (we had high expectations).  Croissants at The Standard were so far superior that it is embarrassing (for them).  Paris need to learn from you!  We enjoyed all of our food, but that was the highlight. We enjoyed the huge deck on the back of our unit, the jacuzzi, the ability to just climb down into the ocean to snorkel, and the lounge chairs to just relax.  Of course the unit itself is huge and quite nice. Truth in advertising - it was wonderful, but the main experience while visiting, just like Tahiti, is getting into the ocean to snorkel. We loved it. BUT, the time and cost of getting to the Maldives compared to Tahiti (from the West Coast) makes Tahiti appeal far more than the Maldives.

the resort and the staff were top notch. everyone catered to my every need and provided the high level service you would expect from the visit to the Maldives. and the property is just simply amazing and perfect in every way. the villas, the restaurants, the beach and pool side seating and the activities were nothing less than perfect. i will return and strongly recommend that others visit.

What a great hotel!!! Eva, our host / concierge, was absolutely delightful and was very accommodating. We celebrated our anniversary in this resort and truly is the perfect place for this milestone. Planning to come back already. Everyone was so attentive, accommodating, and friendly. It was nice to go bike around the island and the different activities they had. Love, Roschelle and Evan

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Standard, Huravalhi Maldives! From the very first moment, everything was perfectly organized and incredibly welcoming. The island itself is stunning, our overwater villa was beautiful, and the entire atmosphere felt relaxed yet high-end at the same time. What really made the difference, though, was the team: genuinely warm, attentive, and always one step ahead. Service was consistently prompt, friendly, and effortless – exactly what you hope for in a place like this. It’s one of those rare stays where everything just works, and you can fully switch off and enjoy every single moment. And as a little bonus highlight: a bottle of Ruinart for 165 USD – which, for the Maldives, is almost a bargain 😉 Highly recommended! We’ll definitely come back. Melanie & Lars
