The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives

Our stay at the Standard, Maldives was perfection- from the greeting at the airport to the departure and everything in between. The location, resort and facilities are breathtaking but what truly sets it apart is the staff. From the reception staff, the staff at all the restaurants to the dive centre, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Our host Eva was super efficient and responsive making everything very easy. A big thanks to the lovely staff at Joos and Todis who remembered our lunch (and drinks) order every day. Chef Gihan is very talented and it was a real highlight to try the Maldivian food at Guduguda. But we loved it all and equally loved the food at Onda and BBQ shack. Our ocean villa was excellent, and being able to snorkel directly off the deck was a real treat. The rooms were spotless, cleaned twice a day and the mini bar was always full. We had wonderful massages at the spa, and its a real hidden oasis. We truly had a fantastic time and are already planning our return.

Wonderful . Just wonderfully. Thank you also to Poala , he was always there for us. We enjoyed every second :)

Everything was amazing! The hotel, the island/nature and most importantly the staff- everyone was so friendly, professional, kind and helpful. A huge thanks goes out to our diving instructor Raph for his patience, professionalism and for our unforgettable diving experience. Thank you to the restaurant chefs and their amazing teams who prepared the most delicious meals. Thank you to the waiters for their service and hospitality. Thank you to the cleaning staff for the impeccable cleanliness. Thank you to the maintenance staff for keeping everything safe and functioning. Thank you to the receptionists for their help. And the biggest thank you goes to our host Poula, who went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. He was very attentive and professional. Even after our departure he kept in touch to make sure we arrived home safely- really exceptional work! We hope to come back as soon as possible. Thank you!

Just back from a wonderful stay at The Standard Maldives in an all inclusive Ocean View Over Water Villa. The water is crystal clear and you can see lots of fishes from your verandah. Staff were all wonderful and it seems unfair to name just our villa host Poula but unfortunately we didn't write down the names of the helpful waiters, chefs and room attendant. Highlights of the trip were seeing dolphins on the included trip and the wonderful food and service in each of the 4 restaurants. The resort is child friendly but we only saw other kids at meals. The fun wall in the villa is a nice touch. Will we back? Everything else being equal YES.

Small private island, pretty good beaches. Beach villa with pool is very good option. Friendly staff, especially in Kula restaurant. Nice overall atmosphere.
