The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives

Amazing location and staff! We felt extremely at home as the staff was always so friendly. The place is unbelievably beautiful, with ocean villas sitting right on top of beautiful corals - the highlight of the trip was jumping in for some snorkelling as soon as we woke up each day. There were also a lot of activities in the hotel, something for everyone which means we did not get bored at all - we were either swimming, relaxing, having a massage, listening to the dj or doing yoga/ zumba. A very fun place! Highly recommend. Room was also very comfortable and clean.

Our stay at Standard Huruvalhi in the Maldives was exceptional, truly one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with such warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail that it immediately set the tone for a perfect vacation. A very special thank you to Eva, who welcomed us so genuinely and made us feel at home from the very first moment. Her kindness, attentiveness, and positive energy stood out throughout our stay—she truly made a difference. The service overall was outstanding, but we must especially mention Shak and Hassan, who took incredible care of us. Their hospitality was beyond expectations, always attentive, friendly, and going the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. They remembered our preferences, checked in regularly, and made every dining experience enjoyable and personal. Another highlight of our trip was how the resort arranged a tour for us in Malé, the capital upon our request ,Everything was perfectly organized, and we were warmly greeted at the airport by Arham, who was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, professional, and very engaging, providing us with insightful information and making sure we experienced the very best of Malé. His guidance truly enriched our visit and made it both enjoyable and memorable. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. The villas are beautifully designed, spacious, and offer breathtaking views of the turquoise water. Waking up to that view every day felt surreal. Cleanliness was impeccable, and every detail in the room was well thought out. The food was varied, high quality, and consistently delicious across all restaurants. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal felt like a special experience. The marine life and surroundings are simply magical. Snorkeling right off the villa allowed us to see vibrant fish, crystal-clear water, and incredible underwater scenery. The island strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and activities, offering something for everyone. Overall, this resort delivers on every level: service, comfort, food, atmosphere, and experience. The team clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. We left with amazing memories and cannot wait to return. Highly, highly recommended.

A Natural Paradise with Exceptional Perks! The Standard, Huruvalhi is a 100% natural island with a stunning 360-degree beach and a dream Premium All-Inclusive experience. The house reef is incredible, featuring 200-year-old coral; I saw turtles, eagle rays, and sharks right by the spa! The perks are fantastic, including a complimentary 45-minute spa treatment and 10 pieces of laundry. A real standout was the hammam exceptional and a must-try, as you don’t find this in many resorts. The over-water spa, sound healing, and adult pool offer perfect privacy for couples. The food and drink are top-tier at the beachfront and over-water restaurants. I loved the authentic Maldivian menu at Guduguda, the new Mediterranean flavors at Onda, and the BBQ Shack. The beverage selection is excellent, with premium wines, spirits, and a great minibar. I personally loved the Beach Villa. The staff are lovely, and I will definitely be back for manta season!

Like most people writing reviews for the Standard Maldives, we also had an incredible few days staying at the resort. Everything went exactly as we expected. The grounds, pool area, bungalows, main restaurant etc were every bit as beautiful in person as they are in photos. The snorkeling in the house reef was great, and compares well to places such as the Great Barrier Reef, Belize Reef, etc. What made the experience even better were the staff. Every single person provided great interactions and we received personalized attention throughout our stay. One server in the main restaurant though was a cut above the rest and truly lived and breathed service culture. Each of our days and at each of our meals, Hassan made it a point to find us and to make sure our beverage orders were placed without us needing to ask. He was the friendliest person we encountered during our stay and I hope the Standard looks to hire even more people that live up to this standard (no pun intended). Overall, we would definitely return. Thank you to the entire organization for making our holiday a memorable one!
