Seaview Hotel - Adults Only 16+

Arrived & got checked in quickly.. Room was ok quite spacious but our view was awful.. It didn't make you want to sit out as just looked on people's houses not a pleasant view.. Breakfast was ok usual buffet style.. Pool area is nice but space around it is small & sunbeds are crammed together like sardines.. Not much shade so becomes uncomfortable if you want to get out of the sunshine..Area outside has some nice eating places but I personally found the area a bit scruffy looking. Staff are very friendly.. We did have a small issue with an incident from the hotel staff which we wasn't happy about but our point was taken seriously & was sorted.. For me this hotel is good but average is the only way i can describe it..Would I return no I don't think I would..

My husband and myself stayed at the Seaview Hotel for 10 nights commencing 1st June travelling with Jet2holidays in a sea view room (Room 721) on a half board basis. Check-in was quick and efficient and our room was ready for us even though we arrived earlier than check-in time. Hotel is lovely as were all the staff we had dealings with. Reception staff very helpful. Our room was a good size as was the shower room. Only minor complaints here were that the bath towels were really thin and one we were given had a hole in it, but they were always clean and the shower cubicle door didn’t quite fit properly; hence a small puddle outside the cubicle after showering. On arrival we were left a complimentary bottle of wine and some fruit a couple of days before our departure, which were appreciated. Room was kept very clean. There are tea and coffee making facilities and these are replenished every day. On arrival a complimentary bottle of water is left but after that you have to buy your own. Good supermarket round the corner and up the hill to buy this. Breakfast buffet was comprehensive and always well stocked. Evening buffet could be a bit hit and miss, although my husband on a couple of occasions found it difficult to find food he liked and I, not being as fussy as him with food, only found one night when everything appeared to be overcooked and very dry and the soup tasteless. My complaint was taken seriously as one of the management team did come to find me to discuss this. The infinity pool on the 10th floor was very nice and as it was never crowded you could swim in it. There were plenty of sunbeds although a bit close together but if this was not the case there would not be enough beds. Perhaps we were lucky but when we returned from our days out we always managed to get sun beds. We were disappointed and many people unaware that the pool and area closed at 6pm in readiness for the area to be used as a dining and drinking area at 7.30pm. One night because they had a private function going on the pool area had to be vacated at 5pm which I did find annoying as this is not a cheap hotel and the facilities should be available to resident guests. The hotel is very convenient for both the bus and ferry terminals, cheaper ferry crossings if you’re a senior, which is great. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby. There is a shingle beach across the road. We did go on it a couple of times as I like to sit by the sea but do not like shingle. My only complaint and this has nothing to do with the hotel itself is the constant “music” (think they call it drum and base – but not sure as not young) coming from the Nine Lives bar across the way from the hotel. This started in the morning and at about 6pm got even louder until 11pm. It meant that if like us you had paid for a sea view room thinking you could sit on the balcony reading, having a coffee etc peacefully this would not happen. A long time after I had booked the hotel I had read from a couple of Tripadvisors that this was the case but thought they might be exaggerating but they weren’t. Really surprised more people haven’t mentioned this in their reviews; perhaps other guests who commented on it to me do not write reviews! This is the only reason I would not recommend the hotel, unless of course you like constant drum and base! Not sure how rooms not facing the sea are affected. The road outside is busy and a bit noisy but that didn’t really affect us too much. This is such a shame as otherwise I would have had no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

Stay at this sea view hotel for 10 in June,and I have to what a beautiful setting right in the heart of Bugibba,, we had a Seaview room with a lovely spacious balcony with fantastic views the room was big with everything you would need big spacious bed, the hotel was very clean, all the staff were very pleasant and helpful the cleaning staff kept our room in tip top condition everyday we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and was presented with a lovely bottle of wine,, we got a 2 litre bottle of water left in our fridge every day. The pool is on the very top floor with the roof top bar which was great. The breakfast was ok had plenty to choose from with the usual English type breakfast to the continental type,, how ever I can’t say the same for the evening meal to which we we’re very disappointed with, the food was over done, very dry, not a great deal to choose from,,seemed to be very much the same every night, and one thing I didn’t agree with was horse meat ( which I don’t think should be for human consumption), so having paid for half board we had to eat out a lot more than we had planned for, which there is plenty of great restaurants to choose from all servings great affordable food,,having said that we had a great holiday and if we went back it would be only B+B. We used Bolt taxi service to get about which was great service and very reasonable prices. Also the ferry to Sliema and Valletta was only 3 euros on the ferry as was the ferry to Gozo which both only took 20 minutes (that price is for over 60s) normally it is 6euros. The popeye village is a must especially if you have kids as they will love it,, we went by bolt taxi from our hotel and it only cost us 12 euros otherwise you have to get 2 buses

I had an amazing time at the Seaview Hotel. The hotel facilities were wonderful and the staff amazing. The hotel has a family-like atmosphere where, as a solo traveller, I felt fully supported. Highlight of my stay was the Upper Deck where the food was outstanding. I will definitely return.

We checked in as a couple and my parents, two rooms, hotel managed to get us as close to the ground floor and as close together as possible as requested, so this was appreciated. Quick to check in, there was a slight mix up when we were given our room cards as my parents ended up with the room with our name one, which meant they were given our anniversary gifts from the hotel, and also confused things when adding drinks to the room and at breakfast with my allergy. Rooms themselves are tidy and clean, some slight cosemtic issues with the towel rail outside hanging off on one side and a rattly fan, but the fan and air con were used everyday. Balcony is lovely and we had a view of the sea. Bed is on the firmer side but was still comfy. There was some noise from the NineLives bar opposite but we personally didn't find it too bad and were able to sleep through it. Breakfast as most hotels was the same buffet style every morning, staff were great with my peanut allergy and I could eat most things, there was one morning where I mentioned my allergy to the lady on the desk and where others before her had understood and got the chef, she said they could offer me gluten free bread and asked for me to get the chef, I told a server and he went to the kitchen, after 20 minutes we left as nobody had come out, when we said this to the lady on the desk in case the chef did come out looking, she said she couldn't leave her desk and I would have to tell the server and I should have got to breakfast earlier, we just left as the servers were busy, all the days after this were absolutely fine. There is a open bowl of peanut butter and they do serve peanuts in the bar, so keep this in mind if you have an allergy. We only used the hotel for dinner on the first night and it was ok, again a buffet style. The hotel is in a great location, right in front of the sea and bars and restaurants so you're never short of going somewhere to eat or drink. The rooftop bar for drinks is fabulous and a beautiful view, get there fairly early to get a seat to see the sunset. We used the indoor pool a few times and it was always nice and quiet.
