We were nervous to travel and stay in another country for the first time since we introduced a new addition to our family (6mth old infant/baby). However the people at the Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa made sure that it was not a fearful chore but as if we were staying at home. They arranged for us to get a room with a steriliser, cot, baby bath and resupplied with enough towels and bottle water that had the recommended low levels of sodium. (Crystal Water Bottles are low in sodium in Mauritius.) To placing us near the beach but as far as possible so the evenings entertainment would not disturb our little one at night. They accommodated us in any way possible so that we felt like we could enjoy our break in the smoothest way possible. I can highly recommend this place, for its calm location and excellent staff. (Such as Dev and Trishna the waiters who made our little one smile, Ramesh and Heert who knew were we liked to sit and would assist with our pram, to Indal the chef for accommodating my partners dietary requirements and going out of their way to make her food that would suit her to Katrina and her excellent house keeping. There were many more but it was difficult to remember everyone's names!) Going forward, for anyone considering this resort. I would highly recommend them. For any new parents: Temperature - Going from May onwards till mid-June is ideal. Whilst there is rain for the odd occasion. The temperatures of 26/27deg with the wind makes it a pleasant experience for a new born whose temperature control can be a challenge. Rooms - If you do look to stay in a room with a pool, try to stay in the Room with a Pool in the Garden View. You get all the same amenities as the Ocean View Rooms with a Pool but it is quieter. (Avoid 1810 as it is next to a service room that if the beeping noise goes off, it is not an issue for us but if someone is a light sleeper you may struggle. Rooms 1810 and below to 1800 are the Garden Villa with Pool. Rooms 1900 and onwards are the ocean view but the higher numbers are close to the main bar and pools so will be louder at night, till 10pm then it calms down. Nothing rowdy just live music like a house band.) Baby Friendly Facilities - There are ramps everywhere and if there are not, then someone is close by to help lift the pram. We got a steriliser, baby bath and cot along with extra towels and the correct water bottles along with kettles. (We brought out own bottle cleaning items as they are easy to transport.) Excursions - The resort offer a free excursion to the local market for which you can take a new born. It will be an experience for them. Do not take a pram but bring your own baby carrier/sling. They also offer star gazing at night, which is nice as you can see the stars and be shown what it all means. Would recommend! Pools - They have a child friendly pool but the beach side is also child friendly. We took our little one out to the pool and the sea with their own swim buggy. Late Checkout - The resort were happy, if there is availability, to allow late check out. Which is ideal with a new born as you can then feed and change them in private and not be stuck. We got that and the resort are understanding but it also can not be guaranteed if they are busy. Beach - It is small but was ideal for us. It is sandy so we were able to make sand castles and go for short walks. I was able to show my little one fishes in the sea and crabs near the rocks. Food - As the country is heavily influenced by Indian Culture. The buffet will have an element of Indian food but they will also introduce other cuisines to suit all walks of life. They have themed nights and the food quality was of high quality. If you would like to try something different, there other restaurants offer something different and were very good. The local drink selection is also good, if they offer ask them to provide rum tasting. They have their own sugarcane rum that is infused with different fruits. The lemon variant was lovely. Overall the resort is perfect place to go for a break with a new born in the off-peak season. It is quite, mellow and there is no rush! The staff are attentive and whilst it gets busy on the weekends with weekend trippers, during the weekday it is calmer. You won't get bored and will feel relaxed. The music is not too loud and as a young family who are embarking on a different chapter in ones life, it is not as rowdy as a beach resort in the Caribbean or the Med. I would recommend this 100%!
Skvělé prostředí, ochotný a milý personál, vynikající jídlo, všude velice čisto - prostě cítili jsme se zde velice dobře. Doporučujeme všem, kteří si chtějí užít klidné chvíle s rodinou v překrásném prostředí.
Hotel Radisson Blu je nádherný komplex přímo u perfektní pláže a široko daleko nic než krásná pláž a teplé čisté moře. Výborná kuchyň perfektní servis , ochotný personál a hlavně prostředí dělá z tohoto hotelu úžasné místo k odpočinku a relaxaci. Doufám že se sem ještě někdy budu moct vrátit.
We cannot thank the staff of the Radisson Azuri Blu enough for making our experience so special last week. We booked the wedding package through Kenwood Travel and everything went to plan. The hotel staff, Diana, Rajesh and Romesh just to name a few made our day complete. They went above and beyond. We cannot recommend this hotel more. The choice and quality of food was outstanding. The cleanliness of the hotel was 5 star. We have been talking to our travel agent today to book to come back for our 1st anniversary next year because we have never been looked after so well by such lovely people. We can't commend this hotel highly enough. Thank you Radisson Blu for making our experience with you so amazing. You deserve 5 stars xx
The location, the food, the service – everything was top-notch! One of the staff members, Vinay, recommended routes to special highlights and sights on the island, and we also experienced such a wonderful wellness and spa atmosphere at the hotel. My wife and I are more than satisfied.
