Riu Ventura

Loved the property, but the hotel-provided transportation with TUI was a horrible experience. Despite registering a head of time and providing flight information, when the flight was delayed, they marked us as “no shows” and we had to pay $250 US currency for the 16 min. Drive to the property. Hotel staff was of no help with this, despite emails and talking in person. Our flight home was changed as well and TUI never answered the email requesting an earlier pickup to accommodate. Again, zero help from RIU when it is their contracted transportation provider and the ride is included for RIU class members. Once there, beautiful beachfront, nice rooms, satisfactory food and wait staff.

The service here is unexplainable! Every worker is extremely kind! The bartender who truly stood out was Juan Diego! He was the nicest person you will ever meet and truly touched all of our hearts! We will never forget him! The food is great and everyone is quite kind. There’s things for all ages to enjoy during the day and at night. Highly recommend!

Our one-week vacation at the Riu in Cancun was a very pleasant experience. The staff members were friendly and helpful, and food was also great, with plenty of variety and quality options. The beach was beautiful and the water was warm, despite the presence of sargassum, which I used to cover my bald spot lol.

Small thinks need improve , but I think it's only 14 week open, so I believe they'll find out... We was traveling home from Cancun flight at 10.40am. Transportation set up for 7AM !! So breakfast at 6.35AM in 24 hours sports bar didn't exist, everything was empty. Need working on this time hole . Missing more trash cans at public areas, I know, there was many lobby attendants to clean, I just didn't feel leave trash at table or in the corner. Ala card restaurants need working on reservations via Riu app. Staff at ala card restaurants need more cooperate, more training. Pool at 6th floor is amazing space, but across the street of hotel is water treatment plant and we smell it pretty bad. We didn't have any problem with service and stuff in 8 night stay. Also we been in RIU party 25min bus drive, well organized.

Exceeded our expectations! Food was great, staff was respectful and responsive and rooms were lovely. Would love to return!
