Riu Ventura

Good hotel. Few issues. 1. Pool steps very slippery. 2. Kids, babies, young children playing on the steps and they are the only steps. Not told to move and not play on them. 3. Many people being sick round the pools through drink. Mainly Americans. 4. Not much around near the hotel. 5. The food is very much the same. 6. Steak house: the rib eye steak for 4 out of our 6 person party looked like road kill when it arrived on the plate. Would not eat there. 7. Entertainment shocking. Hardly anything on for our 2 week stay. 8. Daytime entertainment/activities were not good either. Positives: 1. Our room was 1325: wow amazing room, large, clean, spacious and the view was the die for. Amazing. 2. Happy, friendly staff. Couldn't do more for you. Shout out to Niomi and Ed. Bar staff of the holiday. 3. Italian a la carte lovely. 4. Quick and easy check in and check out. Don't waste your time checking in on the riu app as it doesnt save you any time and you still have to complete the hotel check in process.

1st time in Cancun and I’m glad we chose the Ventura hotel for our stay excellent staff no queues at the bar or by the pool as the mobile barman with his drinks cart was absolute Bliss

It was our 2nd trip to this place since late March. Very nice hotel with superb customer service. Million thanks to Yazmin, who took care of our party of 9 guests and made last minute arrangements for 2 separate birthday parties. Thank you RIU Ventura!

Terrible experience at this resort, the pools were very dirty and slimy management doesn’t know what they’re doing. My nephew fell in the pool and they really didn’t care. They were more worried about them paying a medical bill. I stayed there five nights originally booked seven, but I just couldn’t stay there two more days. It was just ridiculous. I also canceled three days before the cancellation fee and they still charged me.

Once again they did n awesome job, the hotel is nice and new, super clean and as usual the staff is super friendly, I have been in 5 other properties and they are always nice, one special hug to the animator “Bigote” he is the best!
