Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club

The service was excellent. Our concierge Frida made sure to check in daily to see if we needed anything and took care of everything for us. The hotel and beach club were beautiful.

We stayed at the resort from April 6th to 13th as a couple in our 30s. Transportation: We chose to save some $$ and land in Cancun. We knew that it would be a long transfer however we landed in the evening so didn’t really care. It took roughly 2hrs each way. From what we’ve seen on different posts, a private transfer would have saved us about 15-30 minutes which was not worth it to us. Room: We had the basic room, it was beautiful and spacious. Always cleaned and we loved the bathtub on the balcony. The AC worked great and we had a nice view! Food: As avid travellers and people who used to work in the hospitality industry, we have high standards for food quality. We tried every restaurant (except the grotto as we were not preferred) and we have nothing to say except the food was great! Was it Michelin restaurant? No but you shouldn’t be expecting that either. There were many choices at every restaurants and we felt the portions and savours were perfect. Our favourite had to be Jasmine… The shrimp… sooo good! As for the wait staff, always nice and prompt with attention to detail! Bars: All the bar staff were amazing! Drinks plentiful and if you like Tequila and Mezcal, you are in for a treat! Intertainement: We are not big on shows and activities so the amount there was, was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the Mexican night and dinner. Tours and activities: We highly recommend doing the 10$ per person cenote tour on Thursdays. It’s from 10 to noon, they bring you there and back and a great bang for your buck. Make sure to ask your concierge about it to sign up. If you do not have a concierge assigned to you upon arrival, they roam around at the breakfast buffet to see how things are going. If you ask one of them, they will happily take you under their wing. This is where we met ours Kevin. We wanted to do some kind of Tequila tasting but unfortunately they could not find a big enough group. Well Kevin went out of his way to find an alternative.. We did a mixology class with Carlos! It was 90$ for two people, made about 6 different drinks and he took into consideration our love for Mezcal and Tequila! I highly recommend it! The beach: Although it’s a 10-15 min ride, it really is beautiful and through the jungly vibe of Tulum. There is less shade on the beach but so much of it within the beach club with a bunch of different places to sit, lay etc. The pools are also very refreshing. Service is great, drinks and food keep flowing! Overall, we had an amazing stay and would recommend to any couple who just want to chill, eat, drink and wonder around Tulum!

Took a group of 30+ customers to the resort. The staff was great but the upkeep and appearance of the property was weathered and in need of updating. Painting and wear and tear was obviously in need of work. In addition my room had cockroaches in the bathroom. Very concerning and spent a lot of care packing to not take them home.

We found secrets from our awesome travel agent Lyndsey Perez who organized our entire Tulum trip with multiple couples celebrating birthdays. We had a great time. Also had wonderful excursions at the local ruins and at a sunset sail.

An awesome stay at an all-inclusive. The staff and service are excellent. The spa is amazing. Although the beach club is separate from the resort itself (which I knew and researched ahead of time) looking back, I actually preferred that set-up. When you're at an all-inclusive for a few days, it can start to feel like you are stuck in a bubble. Day trips out to the (by the way incredible) beach club gives you the feeling of having gotten off resort for that day - but with all the amenities of still "being at a resort". It was also nice to be close-ish (a taxi ride or lengthy walk) to downtown Tulum. Always tip your service workers!
