Sensira Resort & Spa Riviera Maya

Upon arrival we were treated very well. Only 1 of our 2 rooms were ready, so all luggage delivered to 1 room. They did not have a wrist band for 1 of the children and promised to let us know when the wristband and other room was available..... unfortunately either happened. Hours later I had to seek out help front another front desk employee to get access to our other room and the wristband. We were in the Amber Suites which included butler service, but we're not getting responses from the "whats app" he told us to use for questions, etc. Neither of our rooms were cleaned for 2 days, even after callings, texting multiple times. We got excuses that they had a large party of guests. One day and evening a whole pool was off limits to set up for a exclusive party and 2 nights the buffet was closed as well as a speciality restaurant - this was not communicated to guests and we were left with no other option then to order room service. This was very unprofessional. I have been to numerous all inclusive resorts in Mexico and Sensira Resort was so disappointing and overpriced for what we received. A huge thumbs down.

The resort we picked because of the family friendly reviews; and it lived up to that. We went between March break and it did not feel overly busy. We had the best time and I must say the staff are amazing! Very friendly/ and incredible work ethic. - Italian and Steakhouse were our favourites. Great food and service. I would skip on the dinner buffet as I found more options available during breakfast & lunch. How ever; Great options for breakfast & lunch. But it was actually the ocean bar that was our personal fav for lunch time as you could request fresh fish tacos/ burgers/ fries. And the food was always great. - the spa was great; although I bought a package for hydrotherapy and the hot tub was not working the actual massage and facial were very relaxing. And I would love to go back to have the kids experience the “kids spa” - if you have a couple hours to kill before transportation to the airport and have to checkout of room: they have a great connectivity room that you can shower; freshen up and concierge will keep your luggage until needed. It was very clean. - activities for the kids are constant; with it being a small resort there is always something to do; zip line; adventure club; pool activities; nightly theatre shows. We stayed on resort for 7 days & never got bored. Some cons: and only a few to mention which did not deter our trip in the slightest but just to mention. - we found it impossible to get Guac & chips. Whenever you asked for it they would say no. We ended up asking the pool bar tenders in blue shirts and sometimes they would bring it. We never did get the answer as to why. But when we did get it. The BEST fresh Guac. - the sargasm seaweed was pretty bad. The beach was smelly and the first couple of days filled the smell in the resort. BUT the staff did an amazing job on trying to clean it up as I am sure that felt like a defeat able job! We did get 1 good day on the beach and the staff were sure to tell us so we didn’t miss out which was very much appreciated. -we did get a “towel service” at 930 pm knocking on our door. I was in the bathroom & my kids were changing when we heard the light couple knocks. I informed them not to answer as I was in the washroom but the lady opened the door and asked if we needed towels. At no point should that be done at that hour. It is a kid resort in which many may already be sleeping & my kids were changing but they still opened the door. - it was not overly busy when we were there but the lounge chairs are always all taken by 7-8 am. Plan to get up early to get your chairs. This could have also been the case cause less people were on the beach due to the sargasm seaweed. The resort should add more umbrellas for the loungers. Overall, the cons are just a few minor that still would have us come back next year with the family.

Janitzia in the lounge was amazing! Angye came up to us sitting in the lobby and offered to play a game with our family which was SO much appreciated. They were amazing

Iván y Angye para el beer pong are so fun and great. The splash pad is great. The food was great.
